Moreover, you've clearly shown that they were the ones causing the
trouble, back then, as well. It doesn't take long to see that there
are some people who have a strange preoccupation with you, and not

Yes: obsessively collecting and dishonestly fabricating quotes is just the
tip of the iceberg of the idiotic attacks the "bottom feeders" have made.
They have contacted family members and my employer, have threatened to get
me fired - even if they have to "twist arms" to do so, have accused me of
contacting their family members, have claimed I have called them directly,
have seeded Google with my business name and their trolling to try to hurt
my professional reputation, they have accused me of sexual harassment and
even of rape. Really - the dishonest quoting is merely a very, very small
tip to the iceberg.

So... Snit apparently admitted to "lies" he engaged in to ed in their
"private emails", at least, to hear ed tell it. Snit never did deny
ed's claim about these "lies" that I ever saw. To my knowledge ed
hasn't ever posted up the "lies" that he claims Snit admitted to in
their emails (showing, IMO, that he has more character than does
Snit).

But it gets even better... a bit further in the thread ed is seen
answering Snit's bizarre set of conditions related to the granting of
permission... ed writes:

Yes, that's right... Snit tied permission to post the emails to
*me*... there is no sensible reason to tie permission to me. Snit
obviously thought it was a way to refuse ed while looking reasonable,
a thing that could only make sense in Snit's mind, which is why we
find him doing it. And from the same post (at the bottom), ed writes:

nor am i the one who has many documented lies against them."

dealing with Sandman's web site were forged! What I havepointed out is that why
would anybody waste there time looking a still more pdf files from a person that

Lol, fair question. :) Btw, I've done my best to make this look like my
posts with Agent, but this is my first post with Pan under Ubuntu. I
hate to say it, but it's kinda growing on me, despite the fairly obtuse
installer (i.e. it's a good thing I'm not one of the average people we've
been discussing in COLA). I had to set the installer to use safe video
mode, since all I got with the default mode was a black screen with a
mouse pointer, but after I actually installed and updated it, the video
driver worked, and as far as I've so far seen, it's handled my hardware
(I do need to fully investigate that, though).

I don't get why a remote desktop server was set to run on startup by
default, but I just uninstalled it from the system. Doesn't seem like
the wisest thing to run, but what do I know ...

Yeah, I eventually noticed that it pops up a little info balloon when
you point at the box in the Profiles or whatever, to tell you how to
format it the way you want. I had already looked on Pan's site and

For being free it is pretty darn good... in many ways better than the one I

I still see lots and lots of people infected with malware, though that is
mostly on XP. Will be interesting to see how many calls I get on infections
on Win 7. I will say I cannot recall a single infection on Vista, but I did
not see that many Vista machines.

I have used Linux for schools where a low-cost, low-need system was required
and it has worked adequately... considering the needs (including price) it
was the best option. The systems were donated and all the school paid for
was my time to set them up. I even was able to have students help with the
installation... went pretty flawlessly. I am happy to use it when it is the
best option... but for desktop use it never really is for *intrinsic*
reasons, not that I have seen.
