Elizabot, Wally, Tim Adams, and Sandman were not able to do much with their
trolling today... just the ol' repeat the old trolls and hope someone takes
notice. If they are going to troll, and they are, I hope they have a more
creative day tomorrow. Better yet, why don't they simply stop trolling.

That, however, is damned unlikely.

The best trolling of the day comes from Steve Carroll, with the oh-so-clever
play on words with the name "snit" (article 8). Can you guess what he came
up with. Yeah, I know... nothing really clever, but the best the trolls
could do today.

Hey trolls, when Steve Carroll comes up with the most clever flame of the
day, you really need to work on your shtick. What an embarrassment for the
rest of you!

Ever see a brat in elementary school who would put his fingers in his ears
and scream "La! La! La! I can't hear you!"? Elizabot just did the Usenet
equivalent. She must be proud.

Ahhh, poor Elizabot does not like my consolidated replies. Poor her. If it
pisses her off to see her posts in here she should stop trolling.

Steve Carroll. Angry rants. Poor comprehension skills. Again Steve forgot
to include illegal drug references. Boring.

Also, when you think about it, ironic. The reason why, however, will go
*way* over Steve's head.

Elizabot. Obsessive. Delusional. Boring.

Do you not understand what "STOP" means?

45K and 30K posts are not courteous or necessary. Now, please stop this
nonsense.

If you do not want to read them, don't.

I enjoy taunting the trolls. Call it a hobby. :)

I used to respond to each of their flames individually - now I post one big
consolidated reply (and occasional smaller replies, as I see fit). It makes
it so that the impact of my empowering them to troll is minimized.

Tell you what, though, if you can get the trolls who flame me to do so less,
or to do so in shorter posts, my consolidated replies will be shorter.

Better still, since you're the troll, why don't you simply stop posting

You've done it now William. You'll be labeled a 'Troll' and snit will
start making up all sorts of lies about you, going so far as to distort
posts you've made in the past changing your position on virtually evedry
topic you might have posted on.

No, Snit does not understand. All he sees is you trying to boss him
around. He doesn't understand courtesy.

Now that I've intervened, there is a good chance that Snit will modify
his behavior because he hates it when I'm right. We could have a win-win
situation!

Good luck. Snit's under the impression that these posts of his are
upsetting and humiliating to the posters that he considers trolls. It's
unlikely they will stop for a while.

Hi!

<haunting music>You are. You just don't know it yet.</haunting music>

:-)

It doesn't do you any good--it wastes bandwidth and it irritates people like
me that don't really care and would really rather not know.

Why don't you just e-mail them personally? I hear that sending mass e-mail
is easy and cheap these days...and I'm sure it will go over *very* well.

I don't make deals. That's not my job. But I can offer a suggestion--don't
reply to them! You leave them alone, and I'm sure they will return the
favor.

Now, if you'll excuse me, and accept my sincere apologies for this, PLONK!

Feel proud about that. You're the first person to be plonked from my new
computer! :-)

And once again we have... the two faces of Snit. One claims to enjoy it,
the other seeks to engage posters to make his creation stop. That you
make it this evident in one post is where the comedy lives:)
