>>> "We are talking about 5.6 vs. 7.1 {seconds} -- a difference of 1.5 seconds. Either way, there is enough time to do it -- 5.6 is very difficult, while 7.1 is difficult. Time is not the biggest factor -- it is LHO being a poor shot, with a misaligned scope, shooting at a moving target going at varying speeds." <<<

No, we're not talking about exactly "7.1" seconds. That's merely your
(pro-CT) interpretation, evidently, of the Warren Report's "in excess
of 7 seconds" verbiage on page 117 of the WCR. .....

http://history-matters.com/archive/jfk/wc/wr/html/WCReport_0071a.htm

But, "in excess of 7 seconds" incorporates a lot more possibilities
than just "7.1 seconds". Where did you get that precise figure from
anyway?

The best evidence, IMO, is that Oswald had 8.36 seconds (Z160 through
Z313) to do his deed. Plenty of time...for even a marginal
sharpshooter.

And I see that the above-quoted CTer is still clinging to the silly
notion that Oswald was a "poor shot".

Incredibly, "Sharpshooter" in the Marine Corps translates to many
CTers to Lee Harvey Oswald being "a poor shot". Crazy, man. And silly
too.

~~~~~~~~~
VINCE BUGLIOSI (at the 1986 TV Docu-Trial) -- "Mr. Delgado, I believe
you testified before the Warren Commission, that on the rifle range
Oswald was kind of a joke, a pretty big joke."
NELSON DELGADO (served with Oswald in Marine Corps) -- "Yes, he was."
MR. BUGLIOSI -- "You're aware that at the time Oswald was doing poorly
on the range, he was about to be released from the Marines, is that
correct?"
MR. DELGADO -- "Yes, he was."
MR. BUGLIOSI -- "Are you aware that in 1956, when Oswald first joined
the Marines, and was going through Basic Training, he fired a 212 on
the rifle range with an M-1 rifle, which made him a 'sharpshooter' at
that time -- are you aware of that?"
MR. DELGADO -- "Yes."
MR. BUGLIOSI -- "Given the fact that Oswald was about to get out of
the Marines when he was in your unit, and the fact that he showed no
interest in firing on the range -- you don't attribute his poor
showing on the range to his being a poor shot?"
MR. DELGADO -- "No."
MR. BUGLIOSI -- "He could have done better, you felt, if he tried?"
MR. DELGADO -- "Certainly."
