(Vyacheslav

Like Zhang Pu said, That's why we Chinese in Taiwan

Too bad, ugly lesbian puta Dabianchen/Meichi, that you were not born
in Taiwan, and that you have no balls between your legs. That is why
you can only dream of being a "guy from Taiwan", but you cannot read
and write Chinese. You can only cut-and-paste Chinese articles and
Chinese phrases from the internet. You have no higher education and no
qualifications, so you can only troll the net all day long and post
trash on these various newsgroups using a host of different IDs. Too
bad you are so ugly too: http://www.flickr.com/photos/64156901@N00/3415206204/
. Too bad everyone knows you are a pathological liar.

Ok, picture this, if HK subway does not have ticketing vending
machines and everyone has to line up to buy tickets what will be like
for HK subway? It will be just like Moscow subway! Chaos!
BTW, youtube you posted is a transit station in the Taipei suburb and
it's not in rush hour. Go to Taipei Train Station to ride on Taipei
Transit train during the rush hour (around 5-6pm), it is not much
better than Moscow subway or NY subway but it still runs more smoothly
than Moscow subway.

Human beings are not pig just to be transported from one place to
another they also have to learn to be civilized. Even Beijing Subway
also broadcasted on the train "Citizens, please don't spit on the
train", that's how they educated uncivilized Beijing residents. Haha!
Oh, on Taipei Rapid Transit trains, we are not even allowed to drink
including bottled water.

Let's see if she can answer you in Chinese, shall we? What do you
think?
But I do know Panama has asked Taiwan help to build rapid transit for
them because their delegation visited Taipei has nothing but good
impression about our Transit system.
Moscow Subway is not always crowded, here's a video clip just like
Taipei Rapid Transit in Taipei suburb you posted, quite empty:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izLWr_rFG58&feature=related
Now, you want to see jam-packed in one of Taipei Rapid Transit train
stations, you have it:
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/151/340399417_858d1f2a75.jpg?v=0
So how do you compare it with Moscow subway you posted? Haha!
Now, Metro Taipei including Taipei County (plus city of Taipei) has
over 6.4 million people, same size as HK. Our rapid transit system
runs into Taipei County.
Here's final version of Taipei Rapid Transit when it is completed in
15 years:
http://www.stoneip.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/49bd2b81814df.png
Here's HK Subway:
http://urbanrail.net/as/hong/hong-kong.htm
No comparison!
Now, your so-called "台北/板橋列車故障....." You got it wrong. It's not Taipei
Rapid Transit but new Taiwan High Speed Train now running from Taipei
to Southern city, Kaoshiung (second largest city in Taiwan) at speed
of 300KM per hour. We had problem when it started to operate a year
ago but now it has been running pretty smoothly except it has been
losing money.
Here's Taiwan High Speed Train:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72jHB5eS_RI&videos=SIRbC6HCt2c&playnext_from=TL&playnext=1
So if Russian wants to learn high speed train system they can not go
to HK, USA because they don't have it. They have to go to Germany,
France, Japan and even my Taiwan. Hehe! Now mainland China also has
High Speed Train running between Fujian and Zejiang.
You don't know Taiwan at all. Many mainland Chinese tourists visited
Taiwan and admired us. They said it is what future China should be. My
Taiwan not only has maintained the most authentic Chinese society,
i.e., Confucian society but also developed its own high-tech
industries, from PC to iPod, iPhone... all made by Taiwanese companies
with mainland Chinese labor. So only uneducated idiots would say
Confucianism is the road block for China. It really depends how you
implement it.
One thing is good about Taipei Rapid Transit, it is spotlessly
clean!!! Actually, Taipei is a very clean city. Our government
discouraged using plastic shopping bags, when we buy grocery in
supermarket we have to pay for plastic bag so many families bring
their own bags. Another thing I am proud is that if you go to Taipei
City Hall they will treat you like sort of VIP, they offer tea and
guide to all visitors. So visit Taipei you will find it is a civilized
Chinese society. Hehe!
BTW I don't mean everything about Taiwan is good. No, we have a lot of
problems. For example, our government is not as clean as HK or
Singapore so Taiwan media often asks why Singapore can, we can't.

Oh yes, I have been downloading audio books for Chinese classic novels
they are all free. For example, I have

downloaded some of Chinese novels in pdf format. But I need 48 hours

I assume you mean young backpackers using public transportation,
staying at youth hostels, etc.
I really can't say for today's young HKers. The youths of
my days (my friends and school mates at least) did not get
to travel a lot due to various reasons: money, time, etc.
I myself have joined only one tour, which was to Japan. It
was difficult for me to arrange for lodging before hand.
(If you know cheap lodging for families in Japan
please let me know.)
I have traveled both by train and by car in Europe. I was
very surprised that it was not that difficult to find a
parking space in Paris. Much, much easier than NYC, let
alone HK. In Europe it is very easy to find lodging,
there are always some B&Bs or pensions or cheap hotels
in the middle of the town.
In the US, one sees bus loads of elderly Japanese tourists.
European backpackers are ubiquitous. By comparison,
Japanese ones are not that common. In US/Canada lodging
is more difficult. In major cities one can find hostels,
but in smaller places one is often stuck with really
seedy and run down places unless one has a car.
Call me old fashion, I prefer the paper version most of
the times. I do want quick indexing though.

On my return trips, 90% of my luggage by weight is made up
of books.
Here is what I found out. In bigger post offices, you
can buy quality thick paper boxes suitable for shipping
books. Buy ones the size of small suitcases. Pack the
boxes well, tape them down. At the airport, for a small
fee, one can add plastic strappings that are tightened
by machine.

It won't work. Mainlander cannot afford Taiwan books
-- I can barely afford them myself! (I have to pay
for shipping or the high markups of Chinese bookstores
here in the US.)
It is not common to see two versions of the same book,
one printed in HK/Taiwan, one printed in the mainland.
The latter would be on cheaper paper and cost a lot
less. There is the difference in simplified vs
traditional script as well, but some HK printers are
beginning to use simplified scripts.
The PRC also publishes many Art books. Most of these
are actually printed elsewhere (in the US, HK, etc).
Their prices reflect the additional cost.
Btw, I have meant to acquire a set of Taiwan translated
Harry Potter books so that I can compare the two
different Chinese translations. But they are so
expensive here!

Didn't know about this website. Thanks!
However, it seems that you have to download a special plugin
or executable in order to download. (Bit torrent based?) Not
sure if I can trust this website. Any experience? In general,
do you have any experience with download sites in the mainland?
Try middle East like Egypt and Jordan (Petra!), or Mexico, South
America (Peru, Argentina etc), those places are still cheap and good
for family. Or try Asia like Cambodia (Angkor!) and China.
I have been to Japan twice on business travel but I did not visit
Kyoto, a mistake! Japan is also expensive I heard Japanese Capsule
Hotels but they are for backpackers like myself. :-)
Get Lonely Planet Japan or Rough Guide Japan, they list some good
budget hotels to luxury hotels.
Frommer’s Japan:

Rough Guide Japan:
http://www.roughguides.com/website/travel/destination/content/?titleid=168&xid=idh119859328_0006
They are free but just one issue earlier (usually about 2 years ago),
most of info are still good.

But you need to download emule software (free!) before using this
site.
This is mainland China’s website. I have been using it for quite
sometime. This site has LOTS good stuff from BBC, CCTV… For example,
http://www.verycd.com/search/folders/%E6%96%B0%E4%B8%9D%E7%BB%B8%E4%B9%8B%E8%B7%AF+
Many recent videos are in HDTV format. When do search, use simplified
Chinese characters (or English). Remember you can only watch them on
your PC.
When use emule, do not download Hollywood movies, if you get caught,
heavy fine!
