I was reading a book related to cardiology and the doctor that wrote the
book mentioned DIASTOLIC DYSFUNCTION. However, the doctor failed to
mention what sort of tests are done to determine if a patient does have
diastolic dysfunction?
Thanks in advance,
jason

What tests should doctors that are NOT cardiologists perform to determine
if their patients have diastolic dysfunction?

Believe it or not, many doctors don't even listen to the heart with a
stethoscope.

They should refer their patients to consult with a cardiologist.

Primary care physicians generally do use their stethoscopes to listen
to the heart.

If a primary care doctor wanted to have proof that a patient had diastolic
dysfunction, what sort of test could he or she conduct?

Cardiac symptoms remain an excellent reason to refer **any** patient

to consult with a cardiologist.

Most primary care doctors won't be certain of diastolic dysfunction
until they see it written in a cardiologist's consultation report for
their patient.

Are you stating that there are NO tests to rule in diatolic dysfunction?

Those of us who are cardiologists do not use tests to rule in
diastolic dysfunction simply because they are not needed since we can
hear it with our stethoscope and even feel it through our hand on the
chest.

Jason, sightwalker is playing stupid with you, he knows what you're
asking but it seems his true role is asking if you can say "Jesus is
Lord" with your mouth and not helping you with your conundrum, and
keeping you around as long as he can even if the end results is turning
you off Christ 100%. Charlie is no ones friend I've seen?

A quick search shows that an echocardiogram can be used for a diastolic
dysfunction diagnostic. Such a test can even reveal the cause of
diastolic dysfunction.

What is etched is you send people away hungry, how you sightwalker are a
*fraud*, a counterfeit Christian or just plain old inept in your
endeavors! Doesn't matter which it is, we *all* see the proof of your
failure.

You charlie as a supposed Christian are to feed the hungry, not use
Jesus to fight your rows.

Thankfully, it is written that "love covers over all wrongs" (Proverbs
10:12).

Bottom line concerning you:

http://groups.google.com/group/sci.med.cardiology/msg/89a6c214d9179abe?

<><

LORD Jesus Christ says "you are My friends if you do what I
command"(John 15:14) and "if you love Me, you will obey what I
command."(John 14:15)

The LORD commands His disciples, who are mindful of WDJW and are doing
what He wants, to "love each other as I have loved you."(John 15:12)

The LORD teaches "greater love has no one than this, that he lay down
his life for his friends."(John 15:13)

This is how we, who are Jesus' disciples (either Jew or gentile),
should love one another. We should be willing to die for each other
because our LORD has been willing to die for each of us and indeed has
died for each of us so that we may have eternal life.(John 3:16)

May dear neighbors, friends, and brethren have a blessedly wonderful
life in remembrance of the birth of our LORD Jesus Christ as our
Messiah, the Son of Man:
