NatGreenMeds, and Merlin were all good challenges. Each are well
versed in psychological warfare, some hacking skills, and knew their
limitations well enough to survive for awhile. They are the best
trolls USENET has to offer.
Here is a list of my goals.
To Generate Interest
I engage in fighting with trolls so that readers may see how a
Wiccan like me deals with adversity. I did not fight flawlessly and
made mistakes. The first mistake was joking about going after the
troll's family. I shouldn't have joked about that. A terrorist without
limitations would go after someone's family. But I am in agreement
with Storm. We should deal with the person causing trouble directly.
But that person often does not care what you do to him or her.
Nevertheless, family members are innocent and should be left alone.
When fewer people post as a result of flame wars, it is time to stop
responding to trolls. That time is now. Damaeus is right about a few
things. I am running out of things to insult him on. I have pretty
much stated everything I want to state about his character flaws and
his faulty reasoning.
To Test Friendship
Everyone passes except Hy. Hy threatened me on more than one
occasion that she was ready to assist the trolls. She also threatened
Aine. Hy, if you are reading this, please do not engage in any curses
and do not lurk here or post here. You betray everyone. You back-stab
everyone. Noinden, Aine, the list goes on and on. You even betrayed
Talesin. In truth, I never trusted you or liked you the moment you
came here to alt.religion.wicca. I kept you, my enemy, close to me so
I could watch you. You know within your heart it is true. But I do not
wish you dead. I wish you to be healed. So stop cursing because the
forces that defend me and others get quite angry with you. Stop
messing with your life. You would be lucky to end up like BlackBane,
Sidney, or Damaeus -- just shells. They never curse me the way you do.
I'm asking you to just walk away forever so that you can be well and
happy. Once again, if you do not walk away from alt.religion.wicca and
never look back -- something bad will happen. I am warning you because
I do not want this to be on my conscience. I serve Baphomet! Get that
through your head.
To Test Witchcraft on Trolls
I'm trying out a lot of stuff that doesn't kill people, just
embarrasses them. My goal has never been to kill people. Only one guy
who posted my friend's number came close to death. Another guy ended
up in the loony bin. That is about it.
To Deal With Trolls Effectively
I have successfully terminated Merlin and NatGreenMed's accounts
because they threatened to come to Forks Washington and hurt my
friends and I. They were coaxed into making the threats but that is
not entrapment. They are naturally inclined to threaten.
BBDDAllahAdam made the mistake of posting offline with his USENET
nickname and I was able to trace him to his friends. I personally
asked one of his Wiccan lady friends to speak to him about the
trolling of our newsgroup and he stopped.
JonBarberaTomNewton got involved when I followed some of these
trolls to Kook forums. I didn't have to deal with him. Some hacks from
$cientology already identified him as an Internet troll and got his
information. I do not believe that I made any mistake in re-posting
his 411. Jon indicates that he didn't even know it was there. I re-
posted it so that he could have the 411 information removed. Even
though he is a troll.
Allan Adams is connected with Jon's Hate-Anonymous group (Which is
now venturing into hate all religions including Wicca and troll forums
blogs and newsgroups of religions.)and got involved here as well. I re-
posted his 411 to let him know he was in danger. Even though he is a
troll. Notice how BBDDAllahAdam borrowed from his nickname. Part of
the same white supremacist hacker group.
The Guy who stole Caliban's nickname was exposed and is gone.
The Guy who posted my friend's cell-phone number and asked people to
hurt her is still missing from the net. His friends won't say where.
Sidney Lambe shares the same fate as Raven BlackBane. Posting to
themselves mostly. Just a few regulars responding with short sentences
to keep them alive.
Which leaves Damaeus.
What should be done in fairness to him considering his mental illness?

I don't know anything about hacking. I do know a little about looking at
the headers to trace the route messages take through servers to get an
idea of where they might be coming from. But I don't know how to
circumvent computerized security. I do know how to protect my own
computer with firewalls, router, and network security.

How do you judge character by a person's use of text? I think I've been
fairly cordial. I've made character assessments and posted them, often
with a roll of the eyes since I see the silliness of it, but after
accepting so many obviously incorrect evaluations of my own psychological
state, I amuse myself by posting a few of my own from time to time.

She can't even lurk here? Who are you to have even the inclination to
order someone not to do something that you can't even have evidence of
having happened without going to her house and checking her newsreader to
see which messages are read and unread...and even that only proves the
read/unread state of the message. It doesn't prove that she actually read
the message--only that she toggled their state.

Well, if you have a way with words that has a bit of evil in it, and if
you're out spouting off at the mouth at people who are just starting on
their path of spiritual awakening, essentially it is you who are
responsible for putting them in the mental hospital. What you're doing by
cursing those you think are weak is known as psychic rape. You are a
spiritual rapist.

Anything that has happened to all those people you say you had some
responsibility in "erasing them" from usenet (or curbing their posting
habits) has nothing at all to do with you. You simply take advantage of
the fact that people get bored with your games and move on to greener
pastures, leaving you to make up fantasies in your deranged mind as to the
reason for their disappearances. You are not dangerous. You're just
fantasy-prone. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but opening up about
it on the internet.... Well, it's fair game.

Ren calls anyone a "troll" who refuses to believe that he is a
spiritually evolved magickal adept whose every word is gospel
and golden and not to be questioned.
Unfortunately for him, no one who knows him trusts anything he
posts. He makes up reality to suit himself as he goes along,
expecting everyone to simply believe what he posts. For example,

As for Ren's goals, I already know what they really are: To populate

Well, I was in a really great mood when I wrote that message.
I am still in a good mood, but I have realized a few things since
writing that first message today.
I didn't feel a need to respond to your post earlier this week ren,
because I felt that either you were kidding and just being your usual
self, or you were serious and I struck a nerve and I felt that I could
give you some time to yourself. (Maybe you have stock in Biomed?)
But I realize that it doesn't really matter if you were kidding and
maybe you really were serious in how you feel/think about me and how you
write is what you really think. It was the logic part that didn't work
together for me, because if I know one part to not be true, then I
question the other part of your statements.
Hey, maybe both/all part(s) is/are true for you (I won't even go into
that part because I would question your sanity).
What I realize is that you have been telling me very strongly for about
a year now (as well as the group) that you can't stand me and think very
derogatory thoughts about me.
So I have given you time to simmer down, but I guess it comes down to
this: whether you are serious or not, it is foolish for me to have
anything to do with you, or to be loyal to you or care anything about you.
And if you feel the way you do, it was also cruel for me to not have
