'
This music to a considerable extent - as is the case also with
Mozart's music, who is the same soul as Bach, reincarnated -
 enhances Life:
It serves to retain and to return Sanity and - by repelling
'Un-life' - it serves to prevent or remedy Insanity, to a
   remarkable extent
(supposing you can define Sanity and Insanity - which you can
not anymore, unless you have a command of the Human Rights
      Issues). *(5)(6)(7)(8)
So Bach's music - when performed correctly, that means with great,
encompassing, strong spiritual warmth - does assist Intelligence
(connection to life) considerably, and is conducive even to plant
   life.
It is also a perfect tool for mob and crowd control, and
for safety in parks and other public places,
to prevent crime and vandalism, to protect against
            harassment, assault and murder,
but one has to have the courage to actually do something
right and beneficial, so that you will use this simplest
and cheapest and most effective of all weapons,
to oppose Evil.
And you also have to have the COURAGE to simply and calmly
            read and understand and know
the 'Independent, Objective Definition of Evil' (ODE)*(10)
which (is not part of the soul of Criminal Minds, but it)
            IS part of your soul.
Once again, Fine Particle Physics teaches you
precisely what music is, and then you understand
WHY the music of Bach and Mozart, does have that
general effect on Life, on people.
'
'
The performers make a substantial difference, which is why
      I mention them
            - however, there are very many, very high quality
performances of Bach, and so I had to call these
              Extremely High Quality Performances, and
            - if by way of introduction to Bach, then maybe, but not
at all necessarily, they are listened to in the order
              suggested above.
'
As regards the solo violin and solo cello, the performers
indicated (Ehnes and Cohen) are mandatory for a first listening,
because these do perform the pieces correctly, which is not the
case with many other performers of the same works.
So it is with the other performers indicated, in particular with
the Cantatas. You should definitely start with the Helmuth
      Rilling conducted Cantatas.
These are not only accurate, but also radiate a warmth and
aliveness in such a high measure as the composer indeed did
      intend and created these.
'
Regarding the text of the Cantatas - in case you speak or read
      German or a translation:
Though the text is very 'period,' very 'dated' (very much as one
was supposed to think and speak at that time, and also following
many traditional songs and song texts of that time)
still now they are sung with intense passion, certainly in the
Helmuth Rilling Complete Collection of Cantatas.
To bring the text up to present knowledge, on those
            matters, see for instance:
'Defining God correctly - and Heaven, and Hell - What is
            Monotheism' (DGC) *(2)
and
'Facing Life: Jesus Christ Never Was A Leader, And Never
Will Be - Nor Does He Want To Be One' (JCNL) *(3)
'
After you listened to the suggested performances, you can try
      other performances to your liking.
As is Arleen Auger and Soltan Kocsis, so is Maria-Joao Pires a
perfect performer of Bach and Mozart, due to their ability
      - like for instance Robert Cohen and James Ehnes, have it too -
      to feel the composer
- who is NOT dead, by the way, you utter dopes... *(4)
Not so long ago, I attended a performance of a
Mozart violin concerto, and the graduating violin
player was - in an attempt to perform better - she
                  was desperately "contacting Mozart,"
a "dead" Mozart...
It was pathetic to see her writhing on stage.
'
Performers who play Bach "as if they are senior to Bach,"
(e.g. Glenn Gould, piano)
and those who perform Bach with the emotions not of Bach
            but of other composers,
(e.g. Itzhak Perlman, violin)
should be avoided as regards those performances, no matter
how assertive or proud these may be or have been, about
their "playing Bach" - about their versions of the work
            of Bach.

Now I am not at all going to discuss, what is 'Extremely High Quality
Performance' of Johann Sebastian Bach's music.
It is rather so, that you either can hear it, and want to hear
it - or you can not hear it, or do not want to hear it.
Discussing it - with some fruits resulting - would
            pre-suppose an ability and knowledge
to define Music
(not to mention the ability and knowledge
                        to define Beauty)
            - an (amount of) ability and knowledge that is not
              present, currently, in our society.
So I will refrain from that discussion, and also not enter into
      it.
I can refer those who desire to know why I do so refrain,
            to
'Explaining The Scale Of Sanity' (SOS) *(8)
'
I do however like to mention, what a Bach listener recently used in
his signature to a New Year's wish. He wrote:
"I listen to Bach to clear my head, first thing in the morning
starting the day, and last thing at night.
He's my handle on the possibility of continuing human-ness and
human creativity in an increasingly inhumane and destructive
      world."
'
The world he may see and understand, is compassionately seen and
deeply understood, in 'Definition of Justice.' *(9)
'
Justice, is my very achievable wish for you - also for the New Year
and for the years to come, especially for my faithful readers - yes,
 for you - from
