Bush is claiming to be fighting against "terrorism" - "terrorism" has
no direct target, it is by its very nature indiscriminate in who dies
and who doesn't.
And guess what Jiggy, there *have* been terrorist attacks in other
parts of the world, Turkey, Denpasar, Jakarta, to name a few.
So there have been terrorist attacks, so Shrub can hardly claim he is
winning the war on terror.
I concede there have been no more terrorist attacks on Yankee soil.
All this means is the Shrub has beaten them off from Yankee soil, and
defended Yankee soil from attack. He did not have to invade Iraq to do
this though.
WHilst I think that the invasion of Iraq was ultimately a "good thing"
Shrub needs to get his rhetoric into shape a lot mre than he already
has if he wants to justify it as "helping the world to rid the scourge
of terrorism" - he hasn't done anything like it.
