教育部研議擬訂「祖父母節」國定假日

教部研議將八月的最後一個周日訂為「祖父母節」，鼓勵祖父母與孫子女多多相處。

教育部昨天邀集縣市政府研議，把「祖父母節」訂在八月最後一個星期日，建議祖父母可在這一天贈送開學文具給孫子女，最好還能在孫子女上學的第一天陪著他
們去學校。

教育部次長吳財順說，將請內政部把這一天訂為國定假日，未來還會研議讓教育部的部屬館所，如士林科教館、台中科教館、屏東海生館等，在「祖父母節」當天
免費招待祖孫同遊，增進祖孫交流的互動機會。

吳財順說，調查顯示，三代同堂家庭愈來愈少，缺了中間這一代的隔代教養「祖孫戶」卻愈來愈多；在目前十二至十八歲年齡層的青少年中，有七成以上表示祖父
母是他們幼年時的主要照顧者，因此，更有必要加強倫理教育。

吳財順說，最快明年起訂出的祖父母節，將建議父母在小朋友開學前的假日，帶孫子到祖父母家，祖父母可送給要上幼稚園或小學的孫子女文具、玩具，並在開學
當天牽著孫子女的手去學校；長大的孫子女也可趁這一天請長輩吃飯、送禮物。

美國從一九七八年就立法訂定九月第一個周日為祖父母節，香港、新加坡、葡萄牙都有祖父母節，波蘭甚至還分別訂有祖母節（一月二十一日）及祖父節（一月二
十二日）。
