1. Who has been, in your opinion, the best player of the season in each
of the following positions?
- Goalkeeper
- Defender
- Midfielder
- Forward

2. Among the players you have just named, who has been the best player
overall?

Rules are pretty simple:
- In each category, you can vote for more than a player (e.g. three best
goalkeepers, or two best players overall), and each of them will in any
case get one point. Similarly, you can vote for the same player in more
than one position, and he will get one point in each position.
- Deadline: July 14, 23:59 GMT.

This year I have literally no idea who to vote for!

...After a bit of brainstorming, this is what I came to:

After reading the other submissions and realizing I had forgotten about
Kante, I _begrudgingly_ add him to my midfielder list.

Because there isn't one ?

If pushed, I might just say Ruben Dias. But that would be a case of
most valuable player to his team than actual best player. He was an
automatic selection in defence of the best team in Europe, making his
coach choose between the excellent Laporte and Stones for the other
position. He stabilized a defense that had been unreliable the previous
season. He was the Van Dijk of 2020-2021
