As per KEY in the thread https://groups.google.com/g/indiantreepix/c/fnP9DYhPFfY/m/1aMmMNaFEcUJ -
this should be Ipomoea indica (Burm.f.) Merrill.

Photographed yesterday, roadside wild, probably an escape and naturalized.

Sir ji, you make me nervous!

I have a 2012 post, where flowers are markedly smaller - https://groups.google.com/g/indiantreepix/c/AP0SNQyZmFc/m/xduPbqAE0isJ

Yet, Anurag ji's post - https://groups.google.com/g/indiantreepix/c/R4y8kw-je2k/m/C9IDw6NwMlgJ - confirmed/validated by Ron ji and Prashant Kumar ji makes me nervous again.

So, I take FoC help :-
  • Outer sepals lanceolate basally, with a long linear acumen, spreading hirsute basally ... I. nil (as in my 2012 post)
  • Outer sepals lanceolate to broadly lanceolate basally, long and gradually attenuate apically, appressed hairy .... I. indica
Finally, I think it may not be I. nil.

Thank you so much, it helped me recheck my 2012 upload.

Best regards
surajit

Master ji Thanks.   Your efforts are commendable.   What an in-depth study.   Your ID is final for me.
