Karl Marx, the son of Hirschel and Henrietta Marx..
In January 1846 Marx set up a Communist Correspondence Committee. The
plan was to try and link together socialist leaders living in different parts of
Europe. Influenced by Marx's ideas, socialists in England held a conference in
London where they formed a new organization called the Communist League. Marx
formed a branch in Brussels and in December 1847 attended a meeting of the
Communist League' Central Committee in London. At the meeting it was decided
that the aims of the organization was "the overthrow of the bourgeoisie, the
domination of the proletariat, the abolition of the old bourgeois society based
on class antagonisms, and the establishment of a new society without classes and
without private property".
When Marx returned to Brussels had concentrated on writing The Communist
Manifesto. Based on a first draft produced by Friedrich Engels called the
Principles of Communism, Marx finished the 12,000 word pamphlet in six weeks.
Unlike most of Marx's work, it was an accessible account of communist ideology.
Written for a mass audience, The Communist Manifesto summarized the forthcoming
revolution and the nature of the communist society that would be established by
the proletariat. The Communist Manifesto was published in February, 1848.

This article on Karl Marx, which now appears in a separate printing,
was written in 1913 (as far as I can remember) for the Granat
Encyclopaedia. A fairly detailed bibliography of literature on Marx,
mostly foreign, was appended to the article. This has been omitted in
the present edition. The editor of the Encyclopaedia, for their part,
have, for censorship reasons, deleted the end of the article on Marx,
namely, the section dealing with his revolutionary tactics.
Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce that end, because the draft
has remained among my papers somewhere in Krakow or in Switzerland. I
only remember that in the concluding part of the article I quoted,
among other things, the passage from Marx's letter to Engels of April
16, 1856, in which he wrote:

"The whole thing in Germany will depend on the possibility of
backing the proletarian revolution by some second edition of the
Peasant War. Then the affair will be splendid."

That is what our Mensheviks[2], who have now sunk to utter betrayal of
socialism and to desertion to the bourgeoisie, have failed to
understand since 1905.

At the same time, many Jews were deeply committed to Zionism. Inspired by the
Balfour Declaration of that same year, thousands enthusiastically prepared to
join their fellow Jews in Palestine. The majority of Russian Jews, however,
remained focused on traditional Judaism and its practices.

In March 1917 the Provisional Government of the USSR abolished all laws that had
been aimed at the persecution and restriction of Jews. It looked as though the
Jews of Russia had finally attained their freedom and equality.

Their joy was short-lived. From October 1917 to the beginning of 1921, Russia
was plunged into a horrible civil war. Jews, caught in the middle, were
slaughtered in huge numbers. Although the Red Army had established a policy
against anti-Semitism, it didn't prevent individual troops from pillaging and
murdering Jews. The Russian peasants' virulent anti-Semitism couldn't be halted
by a Red Army edict, and the Jews suffered terribly.

When the Communist Party finally took over, one of its platforms was a
prohibition against the persecution of Jews....

Originally named Lev Davidovich Bronstein, Trotsky was born on
November 7, 1879, in Kherson Province in Ukraine, the son of Russified
Jews....

The March Revolution of 1917 caught him by surprise in New York City,
where he wrote for a Russian newspaper. Trotsky reached Russia in May,
quickly assumed leadership of the independent left Social-Democratic
Interdistrict Group, and joined the Petrograd (as St. Petersburg was
renamed) Soviet. Within weeks, he had gained enormous popularity as
the most eloquent agitator of the Soviet left. In July, after being
courted by Lenin, he joined the Bolshevik party and was elected to its
Central Committee.

As a Bolshevik, Trotsky was elected chairman of the Soviet in
September. He sided with Lenin on the need to overthrow the
provisional government and devoted all his energies to marshaling
support for the armed uprising of the Bolsheviks. With Lenin in
hiding, Trotsky was the general in charge, and he successfully
directed the masses of workers and soldiers in the November
revolution......

It is established Jew Leon Trotsky was the "Leader of the Russian Revolution"
who was also the "Architect of the Red Army" and these Reds were also called
"Red Russians" by "White Russians" who were the Gentile anti-communists. Here is

Ukrainians and activating their accumulated hatred for the Soviets, the Germans
harnessed the violent energies of these willing collaborates to round up and
kill Jews..." <END>

The relevant question is: How could the White Russians named (Lithuanians, the
Balts, and Ukrainians) had anti-semitic prejudices against the Soviets not
unless they were in fact Jews!? These Soviets weren't Palestinians were they and
anyone knows that Palestinians are also semitic.

Russian Jewish Elites And Anti-Semitism

Twice in their history, Russian Jews have been associated in the public mind
with the ruling elite. During the early period of Bolshevism, Jews played
prominent roles in the ruling Communist Party and in the economic, cultural, and
academic life of the young Soviet state. Then, after the collapse of communism
in 1991, Jews again achieved influential positions in politics as well as in the
private sector, especially the media...

On the other hand, the presence of Jews in the Russian elite is cause for
concern among Jews themselves, who fear a backlash of anti-Semitism. As one
Russian Jewish leader has explained, “People here have quite bitter memories of
the participation of Jews in the [Bolshevik] revolution.”

Jews in Soviet Elites, 1917-88

... Jews flooded into Russia’s economic, political, and cultural life. At the
same time, in proportions quite exceeding their percentage in the general
population of the Russian Empire, they played a highly visible role in various
movements hostile to the existing order-as liberal critics of the autocratic
regime, as Marxists, or as active exponents of revolutionary terrorism.

After the fall of czarism and the establishment of Bolshevik rule, legal
discrimination against minorities was ended. Scores of Jews became prominently
involved in the destruction of the old regime and the construction of the new
society. Among the first echelon of leaders of the new Russia were a number of
Jews and individuals of Jewish origin. Outstanding among these were Lev Trotsky
(Bronstein), Grigory Zinovyev (Radomyslskiy), Lev Kamenev (Rosenfeld), Yakov
Sverdlov. There were also some Jews in the second echelon: Moisey Uritskiy,
Adolf Yoffe, Karl Radek (Sobelson), Grigory Sokolnikov (Briliant), Yuri Steklov
(Nekhamkes). These Jewish Bolsheviks were not especially interested in Jewish
matters and in fact were Jewish only by accident of birth or because they were
so identified in their papers.....

To some Russians it appeared that Jews had taken over the country. Given the
total absence of Jews in the bureaucracy before 1917, their presence among the
state and party leadership and their prominence in the Soviet military and
secret police during the first years of Bolshevik rule confirmed this
impression......

When in the mid-1920s Stalin mounted a campaign against his major opponents
inside the party-a group that was labeled the “left opposition” and included
such prominent Jewish Bolsheviks as Trotsky, Kamenev, and Zinovyev-his
propaganda was spiced with thinly veiled anti-Semitism. In October 1926 Trotsky,
Kamenev, and Zinovyev were deprived of all their posts in the party’s upper
echelon, marking the beginning of the end of Jewish prominence within the Soviet

COMMUNISM MUST NOT TRIUMPH
Bendersky explains that matters came to a head in 1917, when revolution
in Russia, the collapse of the czarist regime, and Lenin's assumption of power
confirmed for the officer corps not only the immediacy of the radical threat but
the incredible power of Jews: They might appear poverty-stricken but they could
bring down governments by inciting the masses. Jewish commitment to the United
States, even among members of the long-established American Jewish community,
was considered superficial at best. Whether a Jew was non-political, Socialist,
Bolshevik, or Zionist made no difference. Officers believed that "this thing we
term Christian civilization is something alien to [the Jew]. He would readily
welcome a new social order with enthusiasm and erect a new altar to an unknown
God," as Philip Brown wrote in the pages of the January 1919 issue of the North
American Review.
Alarmists pointed not only to a supposed connection between Jews and
Bolshevism, but to a connection between international Jewish solidarity and
Zionism, which was also perceived as a threat to American values. In late 1918,

Zinoviev, Gregory (1883-1936)—Long Definition
Gugoiui Evseyevich Zinoviev, whose real name was Radomysisky, was born
in 1883 at Elizavetgrad (later re-named Zinovievsk) in the Kherson province of
Russia. The son of a Jewish petty bourgeois family, he had no formal education
but was taught at home, and started work as a teacher at the age of 15. He soon
took an active part in the strike struggles which broke out in 1900-1901, and
joined the Russian Social-Democratic Labour Party in 1901.
During 1902 he went abroad to Berlin and Paris, then studied for a time
in the University of Heme: while in Switzerland he met Lenin and Plekhanov early
in 1903. During August of that year he attended the historic second Social
Democratic Labour Party Congress in London, when the split between the
Bolsheviks and Mensheviks took place. Zinoviev immediately supported the
Bolsheviks and joined their faction; after the congress he was sent back to
Russia as a party worker, but his health was poor and he had to return abroad.
In 1905 he went again to Russia and took a leading part in the St.
Petersburg party organization, publishing the newspaper Poleurni. Throughout
1906 he carried out agitation among the St. Petersburg metal workers, who sent
him as their delegate to the Fifth Party Congress of M2y 1907 in London, where
he was elected for the first time to the Central Committee. ... At the Sixth
Party Conference in Prague during January 1912 he was elected to the new,
all-Bolshevik Central Committee.
During the First World War he took a clear internationalist stand,
representing the Bolshevik party at the 1915 Zimmerwald conference against the
war, and the Kienthal conference of 1916; he helped to organize the ‘Zinimerwald
Left’ which called for the imperialist war to be turned into a civil war.
Together with Lenin he wrote the pamphlet Socialism and the War (1915) and a
collection of articles, Against the Current (1916) which attacked the
social-patriotic betrayal of the reformist parties in the Second International.
After the February revolution of 1917 he returned to Russia with Lenin,
but, like the other leading Bolsheviks, initially opposed Lenin’s ‘April Theses’
which called for the overthrow of the bourgeois Provisional Government. He went
underground with Lenin during the ‘July Days’, when the Provisional Government
clamped down on the Bolsheviks; they were both forced to hide in Finland, and
returned to Petrograd only in October.
.... Nevertheless he became one of the Soviet regime’s principal figures; at
first the chief party spokesman in the Trade Union Central Council, he presided
at all the early trade union congresses, and was later elected president of the
Petrograd Soviet. Petrograd was the centre of the metal-working industries where
the core of Bolshevik trade union cadres were concentrated, and where Zinoviev
had considerable support within the party. ...
At the Comintern’s foundation in 1919, on Lenin’s motion he was elected
chairman of the Executive Committee. One of his biggest achievements was to win
the majority of the German Independent Social-Democratic Party for fusion with
the new German Communist Party (KPD) in 1920, after a four-hour speech in
German! However, against Trotsky’s opposition to an adventure, he and Bela Kun
instigated the abortive rising in Germany in 1921, believing that this would
‘electrify’ and spur to action the masses; in fact its defeat led to a great
crisis in the German Communist Party and increased the isolation of the USSR.

A decisive turning point in the international situation was the defeat
of the 1923 German revolution. As president of the Com-Intern, Zinoviev urged on
the KPD with left phrases, but only half-heartedly supported Trotsky’s proposal
for a definite plan of action. ...
When Trotsky protested against this bureaucratic evasion of
responsibility, Zinoviev used his influence within the foreign Communist Parties
to have Trotsky denounced at the fifth Comintem Congress (the so-called
‘Congress of Bolshevization’)

(A History of Ukraine, Michael Hrushevsky, Yale University Press, 1941, passim),
and much of Poland, were the founders of the Russian Bolshevik party.

In 1897 was founded the Bund, the union of Jewish workers in Poland
and Lithuania. . . They engaged in revolutionary activity upon a large
scale, and their energy made them the spearhead of the Party (Article
on "Communism" by Harold J. Laski, Encyc. Brit., Vol. III, pp
824-827).

"Individual revolutionary leaders and Sverdlov -- played a conspicuous
part in the revolution of November, 1917, which enabled the
Bolshevists to take possession of the state apparatus" (Universal Jewish
Encyclopedia., Vol. IX, p.668). Here and there in the Universal Jewish
Encyclopedia other Jews are named as co-founders of Russian Communism, but
not Lenin and Stalin. Both of these, however, are said by some writers to be
half-Jewish. Whatever the racial antecedents of their top man, the first
Soviet commissariats were largely staffed with Jews. The Jewish position
in the Communist movement was well understood in Russia. "The White Armies
which opposed the Bolshevik government linked Jews and Bolsheviks

communists under Bela Kun immediately seized control and announced the
establishment of the Hungarian Soviet Republic.

The rise of the Hungarian Communist Party (HCP) to power was swift. The party
was organized in a Moscow hotel on November 4, 1918, when a group of Hungarian
prisoners of war and communist sympathizers formed a Central Committee and
dispatched members to Hungary to recruit new members, propagate the party's
ideas, and radicalize Karolyi's government. By February 1919, the party numbered
30,000 to 40,000 members, including many unemployed ex-soldiers, young
intellectuals, and Jews. In the same month, Kun was imprisoned for incitement to
riot, but his popularity skyrocketed when a journalist reported that he had been
beaten by the police. Kun emerged from jail triumphant when the Social Democrats
handed power to a government of "People's Commissars," who proclaimed the
Hungarian Soviet Republic on March 21, 1919... Kun hoped that the Soviet Russian
government would intervene on Hungary's behalf and that a worldwide workers'
revolution was imminent. In an effort to secure its rule in the interim, the
communist government resorted to arbitrary violence. Revolutionary tribunals
ordered about 590 executions, including some for "crimes against the
revolution." The government also used "red terror" to expropriate grain from
peasants. This violence and the regime's moves against the clergy also shocked

Religion was highly persecuted under communism. Churches were stripped of their
valuables and then destroyed or converted to government purposes. There are many
reports of priests being crucified in their own churches, along with the
banishment of the faithful to the gulag. Even though religion existed in the
Soviet Union, it was often only a show put on by the communists to pacify the
complaints of the rest of the world. As a result, religion in contemporary
Russia faces many obstacles.

Many surviving church buildings have been returned to their original owners,
although many are little more than four walls. Of the religious icons available
in 1913, 80% were smuggled out of the country. This devastation of historical
relics, an aspect important to the Russian Orthodox Church, has taken much of
the flavor out of Russian religion. Others, however, have it worse. For example,
the Lutheran church in St. Petersburg was converted into a swimming pool by the
communists and parishioners are working hard to return the building to its
original state.

The years of persecution and the changes in Russian culture have left the
elderly as the strongest bastion of religion. Church service audiences consist
largely of babushki, old ladies, who never gave up the faith.

Bolsheviks turned priests into columns of ice (December 1995)
MOSCOW (Reuter) - A Russian presidential commission has announced that 200,000
clergy were systematically murdered under Soviet rule in a horrific cycle of
crucifixions, scalpings and "bestial tortures." Commission chairman Alexander
Yakovlev, presenting the report at a news conference, seemed unconcerned that it
might deter electors from voting communist or nationalist in parliamentary
elections on December 17.

"If it has an influence, I will be very satisfied," he said.

The report by the Commission for the Rehabilitation of the Victims of Political
Repression also found that another 500,000 religious figures suffered
persecution in the decades after Vladimir lenin's Bolsheviks seized power.

"documents relate how clergymen, monks, nuns were crucified on royal gates and
shot in the basements of the Cheka (secret police), scalped, strangled, drowned
and submitted to other bestial tortures," he said.

...I was especially shocked by accounts of priest turned into columns of ice in
winter...But that's not all, there were crucifixions...It was total cruelty.

He said hundreds of people were shot for not giving up church property, and only
a fraction of the proceeds were spent on the poor as the authorities had
promised.

...He said that of the 48,000 churches in Russia before the 1917 revolution,
only 7000 remained by 1969... <END>

...[T]he Bolsheviks hated the Belogorsky monastery more than all, and
immediately they had collected an armed band they set out to destroy it. On
February 9 (21, according to another source) they burst into the podvorye. They
entered the cells, turned everything upside-down and took whatever pleased them.
The people began to murmur. Then the Korotkov brothers, among others, were
arrested. They took them out to the bank of the river Kama and began to torture
them. The passion-bearers behaved with great courage. They were tortured and
killed, and their mutilated bodies were exposed on the ice to frighten the
populace... Working together with Hieromonk Joseph, temporary administrator of
the Belogorsky St. Nicholas monastery, Bishop Boris compiled a list containing
the names of 42 Orthodox Christians, including 36 monks, who had been tortured
and shot by the Bolsheviks. Pravitel'stvennij Vestnik for May 3, 1919, quoted
the following from Bishop Boris' article Permskiye Vedomosti: "The most fevered
imagination cannot represent that which the Perm diocese suffered during the
Bolshevik terror, the mindless savageries and most refined tortures that the
Bolshevik genius thought up. Of the best of the pastors, those who were most
popular and beloved by the people, some were shot, others were buried alive in
the earth, a third group were skinned after their arms had been cut off, and a
fourth group were drowned in the rivers, frozen in the ice. For weeks and months
they were languished starving in the prisons... The times of Diocletian and
Decius pale into significance by comparison with the time our Church had to live
through in 1918." <END>

Everyone remember I have already proven in this post that Bolshevists/Communists
did NOT harass Jews and many atrocities against Christians by Bolshevist Jews
had happened long before Hitler and his Nazis came to power in 1933! The world
at that time knew who the Bolsheviks were and they knew who conceived communism
and what it was doing to Christianity YET these truths aren't being made known
from every roof top today! Jews have people prosecuted or litigated in many
countries for what they call "Holocaust Denial" YET Jews continually deny the
Holocaust they waged against Christians before Hitler and his Nazis came to
power in 1933! Also just as insidious is the Jewish "Christ Denial" and their
persecution of Christians which started in the 1st Century. (See material

I still say if Jewish Genocide against Christians/Anti-Communist had NOT taken

...The Bolsheviks seized power in 1917, and in 1918 Patriarch Tikhon and the
Local Council of the Russian Orthodox Church anathematized Soviet power,
forbidding Orthodox Christians to have anything to do with it. From 1918 to 1920
civil war raged. Anarchy, murder, theft and starvation were rife in the Russian
countryside; hundreds of monasteries and churches were destroyed, and millions
of Orthodox Christians received the crown of martyrdom... On seizing the
churches, the Bolsheviks would go wild: they would put women on the altars and
bow down to them, put on the priestly vestments and dance in them, thrust their
bayonets through the eyes of the icons and trample on the Holy Gifts. Those who
resisted (and there were many) were killed or tortured, some even in the
altar...

In the town in which Gregory lived they decided to search all the houses and
cellars. At midnight they found about 40 Christians who were in hiding and led
them out to be shot. Among the victims was Archimandrite Alexander, a close
associate of Archbishop Simeon. Hearing a noise, he had incautiously gone out
into the street to see what was happening. He was immediately caught and joined
to the group of those arrested...

Without a trial, he was sent, first to the notorious camp for clergy at the
former monastery of Solovki in the White Sea, and then for ten years to a camp
in Kirov, where 20,000 prisoners were building an electric power station beyond
the Arctic circle.

When he was in Solovki (according to another account, on his way to Kirov), he
and several other prisoners were travelling on a convoy of seven barges across
the sea. The camp administration had decided to drown the prisoners on the first
six barges. But Gregory managed to escape this fate - he was sitting on the last
barge with the administration and only saw the drowned corpses of the prisoners
from the first six barges knocking against the side of his own.

As if this were not a sufficient ordeal, when the surviving prisoners came to
the land, they were given poisoned fish to eat. Every prisoner had to pass by a
control point and breathe at the soldier to show whether he had eaten the fish
or not... <END>

Last year it became evident that a new tactic was being hatched by the extreme
right. Anti-fascists and anti-racists had been chalking up some real successes
in publicly exposing far-right organizations, in shutting down their meetings,
and, in a few cases, getting them fired from their jobs. It was clear that the
far-right would counter-attack, and that the attack would be launched on several
fronts. One such front involves dragging anti-racists into court and suing them.

... Certainly the far-right expects to win. If they do, they could stand to
pocket hundreds of thousands of dollars. A nice infusion of cash which, one way
or the other, will end up funding a movement of hatred not only against anyone
who isn't white, but whose targets also include Jews, women, homosexuals,
socialists, and Communists - all the usual targets of fascism.

... On another front, Paul Fromm appears to be mounting another series of
offensives. Apparently disturbed as a result of his recent firing by the Peel
Board of Education for on-going association with fascists, and still smarting
from the effective shutting down of several meetings and conferences of his
organizations by a coalition of anti-fascists and anti-racists, he has thrown
his weight behind his friends in the antisemitic Council on Public Affairs,
going so far as to refer to its leader, Eileen Pressler, as a "patriotic
activist."

In the most recent edition of his Free Speech Monitor, Fromm makes the truly
lunatic claim that there is "an unholy alliance (of) the Communist Party and the
League for Human Rights of B'nai Brith"! Such rubbish hardly requires denial,
but it is interesting to note that the old Nazi lie of the Jewish-Bolshevik
Conspiracy never dies among the far right. Indeed, they loudly proclaim it at
every opportunity.

Fromm's new evidence to support the Great Conspiracy is to claim that the
Communist Party of Canada is "bankrolling" the financial defence of the
defendant in the Council on Public Affairs lawsuit.

... Not yet done, however, Fromm goes on to suggest, "in a more sinister
development," that the "B'nai Brith is using its charitable status to raise
funds for the communist agitator." Finding this unacceptable, Fromm urges his
readers to complain to Revenue Canada.... <END>

[Stalin] graduated with honors from the church school
and in 1894 entered the Tiflis seminary. In both institutions
obscurantism, hypocrisy, constant petty supervision, and a
system of informing prevailed. The rules were very strict,
with virtually military discipline being enforced. It is not
surprising that the seminaries of Russia produced revolutionaries
as well as loyal servants of the church and government . . .
The Tiflis seminary gave Russia not only Stalin, but
such prominent revolutionaries as Mikha Tskhakaya, Noi Zhordania,
Lado Ketskhoveli, Sylvester Dzhibladze, Nikolai Chkheidze, and
Filipp Makharadze. The seminary in Armenia
produced just as many important revolutionaries.
