The real point there is that stinking useless Gavin Loathsome, has continuous armed security 24 hours a day both on his person AND AT HIS HOMES. He wants to eliminate the ability of the common citizen to protect himself. Jerry Brown before him did the same. There were ALWAYS 4 guards on his home adjoining Chabot Park PLUS there was a locked steel gate onto the street his home was upon. And he always had a large detail of armed guards that followed him around like fans.

lol - dumb a fucking stump you are...An anti-global warming program is program to combat global warming, stupid. Much the same way that anti-poverty programs combat poverty, and anti-violence programs combat violence. Gee, skippy you've been telling us your so much smarter than everyone here all this time, and this is how you interpret things?

Ireland has way stricter gun control laws than the US, yet you criticize the US for trying to implement _any_ gun control

https://www.irishcentral.com/news/gun-laws-ireland
"Ireland, according to GunPolicy.org, has some of the most restrictive firearm legislation in all of Europe."

Ireland bought into the Paris Accords with arguably the some of most aggressive climate policy in europe, yet you criticize the american democrat party for trying to implement policies that go no where near as far

https://www.gov.ie/en/press-release/16421-climate-action-plan-2021-securing-our-future/
"Green Teams will be established in every public sector body. No new fossil fuel heating systems will be installed in public buildings after 2023, except in very limited exceptional circumstances. All new fleet purchases will be electric from 2023, where such vehicles are available."

If you really were as sympathetic to the magatard movement as you repeatedly claim here, you wouldn't be living in Ireland. You'd be living somewhere that gun ownership was more "liberal", like Belarus. Oh no...Belarus has jumped full onto the climate change bandwagon. You'd need to go some where like.....Mogadishu....or alabama (more similar than many people realize)....Just think skippy, instead of being mired in all the left wing gun control, anti AGW, and social welfare policies, you could be relaxing amoung your like-minded magatards and enjoying the best gumbo in the world.

But, that would require you to give up the fantastic socialized health care in Ireland.

No, the reason you stay in ireland is either:
a) You actually like the culture there, and just post the ignorant shit you post here because your life is as vapid as the other two stooges here and your dying for _some_ form of attention.
or
b) You're too fucking broke to move somewhere more amenable to your sensibilities (like tommy).

The years since 2016 have averaged cooler and NASA and NOAA have announced every year to be warmer than the last.

So Flunky and Krygowski go right on playing off of each other that an AR15 that is used in fewer deaths than blunt objects is the most dangerous thing on earth including the Abrams tank, and the Earth is warming so rapidly that next week you'll have to wear suntan lotion in the arctic winter.

:-) Quite aside from another extreme Kunich non-sequitur:

Yes, I did have "an attack of friends" today. My wife and I spent
several hours today playing music with five other friends. We were asked
to do this to help celebrate an anniversary, and while we were there we
met other friends. On returning home, we had an hour phone call with a
friend. And I'm scheduled to phone another, one I get to visit only
occasionally, later tonight.

Yesterday we did a five mile hike with a couple of friends (PhD
biologists) then had dinner and watched a movie at home with yet another
friend.

This may be unbelievable to those who are too obnoxious to have friends.
But for those of us who are not so unpleasant, it's normal, pleasant life.

"Ireland has some of the least permissive firearm legislation in Europe.
In order to possess a limited range of hunting and sport-shooting
firearms, gun owners must renew their firearm certificates every three
years. Although small arms-related death, injury and crime remain
relatively low, rising rates of gun violence and firearm ownership in
the Republic ― in particular the possession and misuse of handguns ―
have become sources of national concern. In 2009, the private possession
of handguns was curtailed. Licensing of all pistols and revolvers using
centrefire ammunition was capped through 'grandfathering,' with new
licences restricted to a limited range of small-calibre .22 rimfire
handguns and .177 air pistols. The possession and use of realistic
imitation firearms in a public place is prohibited. Ireland is an active
supporter of the United Nations process to reduce gun injury (UNPoA)."

Which bagpipe? I don't have interest in Great Highland Bagpipes, the ones most
people think of. They are definitely outdoor instruments! But I love the sound of
various other smaller pipes, like uillean pipes, border pipes, gaita (Spanish Galicia), etc.
Most people don't know there were bagpipes in many, many countries.

> I'm planning to send him one of my bikes (On Topic!)

Good move! I've played pennywhistle while coasting downhill on my bike. You may
be able to do the same with a recorder. You'd have to turn the head around so the
"window" is shielded from the wind stream. Not the safest thing to do, but it was fun!

If I (or we) don't know what you think, it indicates you're incompetent at explaining yourself; or you're posting things you
don't believe just for the purpose of trolling. Either is likely with you, but I vote for the latter.

You're a hypocritical troll who lives without complaint in a gun-controlled, environmentally protective country with a large social safety net,
including a proper national medical system; yet you troll Americans with right wing nonsense opposed to the policies of your country.

That's one of the many reasons I waste almost zero time reading your verbose spewing, let alone responding to it.

There was a guy who used to show up at the Scottish games who played various
pipes. Seems every culture has a variation on them and he played a bunch of
them and brought them along.

Variations with one, two and three drones a la Highland.

I bought his CD and it lived in my player for a very long time. Now I would
have to go through the collection to find it again...but I should, since I
like it.

Also meant to say I have a similar feeling towards keeping old Colemans
going. They are well-designed in that today's fuel caps, check valves and
generators still fit the old ones.

There are some Amish reproduction generators that work well, too, but you
can still find new old stock.

lol...sure skippy, keep the weapons out of an irredentists hands - as well as those who might need them to defend against irredentists. You clearly haven't been paying attention to the American gun control debate you ignoramus. Irredentism is exactly one of the arguments gun rights activists use - Irredentists will find the weapons, legally or not. You're arguing against yourself, shortass.

And can cancer detection and treatment devices. Also the President of several companies were PhDs that REALLY knew business science.

But there were also a lot of idiots, PhD physicists that knew NOTHING about normal procedures so that they endangered everyone that worked around them. Or would rather get something they wanted rather than make an end product.

So while a PhD CAN be a valuable asset, it isn't anything of value unless it is owned by someone that is actually intelligent and properly educated. Most of them I've met were not. I fired two of them. They were as stupid as Flunky.

Back in the day, before even the "good" universities started handing out PhDs to people by skin colour and politically correct attitude (vide Michele Obama and "Dr" Jill), what mattered about a PhD was where you got it; some weren't worth spit even then. You might find it interesting to look at RBT using Google Groups:
<https://groups.google.com/g/rec.bicycles.tech>
If you display any thread of articles, you'll find at the top of the
page the number of unique Google ID's that have read the article. In
the current thread owned by Andre:
<https://groups.google.com/g/rec.bicycles.tech/c/a7qeZZ5RqR4>
"Another Cynical, Useless, Gun-Control Push by Donkey Party"
I find 44 views.

I've been watching the numbers on various threads and find some
correlation demonstrating that the predominantly bicycle related
threads get far more views than political and off topic threads. For
example, this thread by Andrew on a Bianchi aero superbike press
release:
<https://groups.google.com/g/rec.bicycles.tech/c/fZ5vtGQaPSM>
received 211 views.

My numbers seem to indicate that while political and firearm threads
generate the largest number of articles, bicycle related threads
attract the largest number of readers. However, I haven't bothered to
tabulate exact counts making this my general impression and not a
statistically substantiated fact.

Unfortunately, the numbers can be misleading. Google only counts
people who read RBT using Google Groups. A fairly large number of
readers use eternal-september, Supernews or other Usenet news
services, which will not be counted. The numbers also include casual
readers who were directed to RBT articles from various search engines.
Still, the numbers indicate what the Google users prefer to read in
RBT.

Please don't ask me what "views" means. Google has various
definitions for "unique views", "unique pageviews" and other terms
taken from Google Analytics. I won't pretend to understand exactly
what they mean.

For what it's worth, I tend to first read articles by those whom I
find interesting, second by those replying to a thread in which I'm
involved, and whatever is left by the amount of time I have available.

Excellent. It proves that my headline ("Cynical, Useless, Gun-
Control...Donkey Party") pushed enough of the right buttons to serve its purpose in putting off most of the clowns like Rideablot and other Donkey Party wreckers I don't want in my threads. You're one of them, Liebermann, so piss off, will you. Ask Scharfie to show you how one uses kill file.

Wow. Thanks for that kind offer.
I'll run it by him; I suspect he'll decline (and proabably decline my offer,
too. He's happy w/ a beach cruiser, I think).

I'll see what he says...

Krygowski doesn't believe there is such a thing. He believes his words to be pearls that no one could bare to miss.

Well, I'm out of space in my garage so if he wants it, it would be a help to me. Presently it is hanging from hooks in the ceiling and the bike is at head level for me so I have to remember to duck as I go by.
