Hmm.. Maybe this is the problem I'm having with my Protege? My computer recognizes the hardware but Plover won't connect to it. The cables linked here are serial to serial though, and I don't have a serial port on my laptop. Do I need to add an adapter as well?

Yes, the cable I'm using at the moment is serial at the Protege and USB at the computer end.

Yes, it says disconnected.
I haven't used it with other software, but the machine itself seems to work fine. I'll try switching it into TX Bolt mode and hopefully that will do the trick!
