Sir,
It is possible that this plant may well be B. blakeana.
While i was taking pictures of this particular tree i checked for pods and there wasn't any.
But, at the same time i recalled that last year i had a very similar experience, initially there was no pods and later the tree was full of pods.
I used the KEY (for B. variegata L), "flowers appearing generally before leaves" or "flowers 10-12 cm across, after leaves fall", to identify this tree. The KEY was prepared by you in -
However, i shot this plant in Chandannagar and will check again when i go there in near future.
