Vicoa gokhalei

The flower images posted as Pentanema cernuum (which is now Vicoa cernua) by Dinesh Valke, Neha Singh and Alka Khare should actually be of a newly described species

 Vicoa gokhalei Gosavi, Madhav, Chandore & S.R.Yadav

I am attaching a page from the 2020 paper describing the species. Vicoa cernua has very small ray-florets. The flowers with long ray-florets should be of Vicoa gokhalei

The flower images mentioned in my post forwarded below, should be of Vicoa cernua (Syn: Pentanema cernuum) only, as per the following paper

As per this paper, Vicoa gokhalei is a synonym of Vicoa cernua. The species which the authors, describing Vicoa gokhale, considered to be Vicoa cernua (the one with virtually invisible ray florets) is now described as a new species Vico sahyadrica.
