Dear all,

I'm working on a model of chemical reactors for a burner (see more details: https://groups.google.com/g/cantera-users/c/SGJUZrwMmnE and https://groups.google.com/g/cantera-users/c/A2sqfuhuBVI) but i'm dealing with some problems.

This sketch shows my model: F (fuel) and A (air) enter in FZ (PSR) and A enter in ORZ (PSR). CRZ is another PSR and PFZ is a PFR.

The model consists of a network of reactors. The main problem is that (see images below) combustion is fully occurring only in the first reactors, and not in the remaining reactors, as assumed... As the experimental results (blue) suggest, chemical reactions should occur throughout the burner.

The problem can be in the way implement it with Cantera or maybe in my model. Some suggestions on how can I overcome these problems?

I will really appreciate any help because I really need to solve this problem and I don't have much time left.

Many thanks in advance!
Francisco

Hi Francisco,

It's hard to give concrete advice without seeing the script you're working with, and knowing which version of Cantera you're using.

Thanks!
Bryan

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for your reply!
I attach my code, with a text file to explain how it works.
The version of Cantera I'm using is 2.5.1.

Thanks a lot!
Francisco
