First printed in 1968, The Key to ECKANKAR was one of the early books that introduced people to that wonderful Tibetan ECK Master, Rebazar Tarzs. His conversation with Paul is a historical document that reflects Paul Twitchell's state of consciousness at that time.
"In the first few pages, Rebazar talks interchangeably of the SUGMAD (God) and the ECK (Holy Spirit). We know the difference between the Source of all life, and ITS voice. Rebazar was referring to the Divine Principle that created our consciousness, and how IT relates to us here and now. [...] How important is the reading of books and attendance at lectures and classes on truth? Rebazar says that the individual first has to get 'the correct letter of truth' before he can live in the spirit of truth. He tells how this is done. [... .]"

It must have been 1985, or later when Harold Klemp's Intro. first appeared in The Key to Eckankar book. I found an online copy where curiously a part of Harold's Introduction is missing.

A lot of content from "the first few pages" contains copied portions of books by Neville Goddard and Talbot Mundy! Not Paul Twitchell! Not Rebazar Tarzs! Does Harold Klemp mention this too? Evidently not. Rebazar talks??? In 1985 harold was writing about Rebazar talking?
And "the correct letter of truth". THAT WAS ALSO COPIED!!! Not Paul Twitchell! Not Rebazar Tarzs!

The Goldsmith version comes from the 1950s. The Eckankar book was first copyrighted 1968.

I am really not sure what Harold Klemp was saying in his Intro. for The Key to Eckankar. Was he even aware at the time of these copied passages? Already in 1984 he mentioned something about a master compiler. I wonder who was Harold relying on for information? Doug Marman?
