Dog lovers for Joe

I missed this. It would have helped me figure out who to vote for.

Best part is the video at the bottom.

And here is background, for the political nerds among us.

and one more.

This one has a series of short, really good animal videos at the top.
It's pretty amazing how different animals can be while still having a
mouth, a nose, two eyes, and usually two ears. We have so much in
common.

But do dogs love Joe? His description said he was trying to pull the
dog's tail when he fell over a throw rug. Sounds like when LBJ was
observed lifting his beagle by the ears and said 'The dog likes it.'

Anyone who votes for a politician based on something as trivial as
owning a pet or even liking animals doesn't deserve to be a voter. It's
bad enough the majority of voters are ignorant to the agenda of the
candidate for whom they actually vote.

Sadly, those people exist and vote. A few years ago I saw a study where
they asked why a person made a choice either way and the list of reasons
were incredibly dumb. Did not like his hair style, reminds me of my ex,
etc.

Alas, it turns out the poodle owners have had disagreements with the
collie owners, who have disagreed with those who say no one owns dogs,
they are only companions.

All the various breeds have taken up sides and now it looks like there
will be no convention in 2022 and no candidate endorsements in 2022.

When FaceBook was starting up I didn't go anywhere near it because
Zuckerberg reminded me of some arrogant pricks I've known IRL. For my
money my choice was 100% correct.

It's surprising how often a mostly subconscious impression proves to be
accurate. Over 90% of the people I meet don't trigger a strong feeling
one way or the other. The other fractions are people I would like to
know and people I avoid if possible or watch like a hawk.

I believe most of our choices are epiphenomenon and rationality is for
the most part a post hoc narrative. The Enlightenment and its children
are vastly overrated.

I believe it. I enjoyed (or cringed) watching talk shows where the host
displayed segments being on the streets asking people who they are
voting and using the policies/platform of one candidate and applying it
to the other. When people state their favorite, the host would asked if
it's because of their policy of such and such. The person would say yes
with ignorance that it's the policy of the opposition.

The ignorance is completely overwhelming.

o And just the infantile always off topic politically charged threads!

Absolutely _none_ of these (and thousands of responses) have utterly
anything whatsoever to do with the topic of home repair, and this
prolific "micky" troll has been asked to stop, and he does not.

The key point is that this "micky" is a racist, politically oriented
highly inflammatory troll who was asked _many times_ to stop trolling,
where his reply was essentially: "*fuck off, I can troll all I want to*".

Simply be advised as you all know I do not bullshit.
o These are all facts above.

Did you actually read the cites?

My only complaint is how many of the ones in the first group have
vacated the ones in the second group.
If you read Schenck and then read Cohen it does appear you can cry
fire in a crowded theater because protesting the draft is now a
"protected right" (Cohen) not a "clear and present danger" (Schenck)
Miller v California also vacated pretty much all of Roth. (Community
standards for porn).
I bet there were decisions in the 70s that chipped away at O'Brien too
but I haven't actually looked.

This is a home-repair newsgroup.
