Mohammad,

I am aware of international politics and local issues may be affecting your participation.

We wish you the best and if you can find a way I am prepared to post on your behalf if necessary.

To All,
  • You may have heard the Internet is being toyed with, blocked, monitored and sites blacklisted in relation to Iran.
  • This impacted Mohammad Previously, so please be thoughtful if Mohammad is unable to reply in a timely manner.
  • If we manage a brief contact if someone can provide some bypass tools to give him the freedom he should be entitled to please be ready to share.
Regards
Tony

Hello,

Nothing to share for know. Just to say that I'm with you.

I wish this is only a side effect of a tough internet blackout. It appears that last @kookma's activity on GitHub is one week old. Just like here on GG if I'm not wrong.

I'm not aware enough to know what type of internet blockage is set in Iran. Sometimes not only classic connections but also p2p and other protocols are blocked...

Wish the best to all of you. Particularly to you Mohammad. Thank you Tony for this gentle reminder.

Cheers

Sylvain

Hi everyone...Oh wow,

Sometimes we take it for granted how good we have it in the western hemisphere.

Hopefully things come back to some "normalcy" and Mohammed can post again.

Best regards,

Julio

as may may know Mohammad shiraz tool.

I picked up on his tool name cause I knew of the city from world history-- I have a few references to Middle Eastern culture & history in my personal project-- would had been a perfect way to incorporate some world history & culture into my child's learning.  I'm confident he'll be back among us to see it.

That's Terrible, because it means the U.S. Is blocking us from someones work.

Perhaps they can't help that Mohammad can't reach us but to hide his resources and return a 404 when in reality it should tell the truth is disgusting.

The First casualty of War is the truth.

Hello David,

This is not really a sign. Mohammad didn't have a functional kookma.github.io repo (see https://github.com/kookma/kookma.github.io)

https://kookma.github.io/Shiraz/ works. Just as his other projects.

Hopefully our kookma will come back soon on the net, with great projects as usual.

Warm regards

Sylvain

I noticed it when trying to open his SNR (search N replace) plugin from the Toolmap. That is not in Shiraz. Perhaps he took it down.

SYcom,

Thanks for setting this right. I hold my view to the side pending more evidence.

Mmm. Pretty strange.

SNR has no gh-pages branch (https://github.com/kookma/SNR/branches/all), so it won't publish. But maybe we can publish master now on GitHub...

Cheers

Why would the US be blocking his site?

Internet has been restored but the situation may  not be over

A Gloom,

In the last couple of months Mohammad was blocked from accessing GitHub. I understand this was initiated in the U.S. at the time, This may not be the case this time but my reaction was to the link, which has being suggested was broken to start with.

Whatever the cause it is disappointing it is impacting Mohammad, his contributions and the community as a result.

I feel it is important to recognise someones absence  whatever the cause.

Regards
Tony

Not sure what the details are concerning past incidents, but the US as far as I can tell isn't involved in things this time around-- its all internal affairs-- at least this isn't a Kashmir situation-- their Internet been down for 3 months now if I'm correct.

The article I posted indicates that even with their Internet back, it may be limited to sites/domains the Guv approves

My wishes are for his safety, if you knew my background, I'm not worried about his Internet but other matters of the situation there are worrisome-- now you know why such a silly seeming individual as me goes by Gloom...

TWScripts is still up, so we haven't lost all his work... and reinforces what Sy has said

If you go to my resource post: Mohammad's Wikis they seem to work fine.

I tested all listed 11 wiki and they came up. I don't think his achievements are disappearing any time soon! :-)
