New Bike Day.

Christmas came early.

Been busy between receiving the bike from North Seattle thanks Suzy... so here is the new bicycle and project.

Taking it down to Carlsbad, CA  this November for some new braze on's, kick stand plate and a fresh coat of paint...then the fun begins with all new parts I have been collecting.

That's awesome, Hugh.  If I could add an Atlantis to the stable, I'd never need another bike.  At least that's the story I'm telling my wife (again).

Thanks Curtis.

I'll be down November 8th. I need to do a small project for my parents on Friday. I'm dropping off the frame & fork Saturday in the morning so don't know my timing, would you like to do a Saturday Carmel Valley ride say late morning to early afternoon? We could get Mike S. involved as he's been riding the Carlsbad area frequently and has some dirt sections he's been playing on. Of course we could put it out to all the other suspects :-)

As of today I am free on that Saturday.  So a ride sounds great. 

Put the back fender on the Hilsen last night.  The commute to work was wet today and yesterday.  The fender went on nicely and protects from the water very well.  I think the bike looks great with it on.  Could not mount the front due to the lack of a bolt.

I love fenders not just their practical aspect but just like the way they look.And the Hilsen looks great with them. Though for a while I probably won't run fenders on the Atlantis as I'll be doing some dirt riding on it a bit more as in S240's or what ever I can get away with!

So I'll plan on a ride on the 9th late morning. We'll hammer the details out.
