For those who don't follow the Rivendell Facebook page, I posted three bike hacks for the tinkerers among you, on Facebook's Rivendell page. Two are regarding kickstands and one is for a quick release Wald basket. I hope these can help fix problems you might have.Clayton (Bendite)

I just went to what I thought was the Riv Facebook page, Clayton, and found nothing there from you. How long ago did you post the hacks?

The basket mount is my favorite.
Patrick, and to those who don't follow Facebook, here are the videos and photos you have requested. Three bike hacks; two for the kickstand and one for a quick release Wald basket (final design). I hope these help the frustrated tinkerers out there. I am sharing these 'inventions' with the group to use. Have fun. I spend almost all of my time trying to find the easiest, fastest way of fixing problems that I have while touring. I am an obsessed bike nerd. The rear mounted kickstand, with the flotation pad and strap is the most secure stable parking set up I have ever used and I have tried many. I am scheming on a way to lock the stand down, but that is a project for another day. I hope this helps someone. Thanks for the interest.
Anti Floppage strap! I sewed a flat piece of elastic (that was stretched to maximum length), to a narrow nylon strap, with bar tacks every 1/2". One end is sewn into the interior of my frame bag, and the other is sewn to a leather loop to loop over the brake lever. When the front end is loaded, the wheel wants to flop over to the left. As it does so, it pulls the strap tight on the rear brake. I adjusted the length so the wheels are inline when parked. This works wonderfully, and is super fast. Every time I 'fire' the strap to put it away, it makes me feel like a kid with a new sling shot. Fun.Clayton )Bendite(
all great ideas, but I especially like the flop cord idea. Where did you get that great frame bag?thanks again
Tom did you see them on the list, looks like he put it directly in a thread.
These are all great! Thanks for sharing Clayton.-Jay B.
