Bleriot Birthday Ride Report

Greetings,

   Some people want gifts and parties for their birthday.  I just want to be alone on my bike!  Got my wish yesterday as the family dropped my off at Snoqualmie summit outside of Seattle.  Spent the day riding back to the city on various trials and roads.  Had a dinner date at 6:00 at my in-laws so not much time for dawdling....made it at 5:55!  Overall about 85 miles on the Bleriot in a little more than 7 hours.  A little cold and rainy at the start but turned out to be a perfect day.

Thanks Hugh.  I was in SoCal last week...San Clemente, San DIego, etc.  Different from here but still a beautiful area.  Wish I could have stayed for the ride.

Hugh! 82˚F? Zounds! That's positively sweltering (we may have 1 or two days where we reach the 90's here, mostly we are "hot" in the 70's. Can't tempt me with temps in the 80's. Too hot! We're now (mostly) out of monsoon season (tough late last week we had the creek next to our house (usually 4" deep) rise 10' and flood the other side (which is 10' lower than our side). So dry and cooling off sounds good.

I totally get that - looks like a great route, and a great way to spend your day.

Now get back to writing essential questions, aligning your curriculum to the common core state standards, setting goals for TPEP, makin' copies . . . . Yep, even wood shop teachers have to write essential questions. Here's one of mine: Does money grow on trees?
