Phew,

The price (and hassle) is just high enough that i'm not tempted :)

If this was local i'd have a harder time.....

This sure has my attention. Broke at the moment and it's a touch small/short, but sure is tempting!

So it was sold there for $950 in 2013?
Buy low, sell high!

Happy purchaser here; the seller worked with me nicely on the price when I asked him to reconsider, and he looked again at the recent eBay Legolas sale so, after all, no huge mark-up from the previous sale, and a pretty rare Riv, too.

I think that's a different L. in the paceline post (57 vs 59)... =- Joe

But note 59 c-t; 57 c-c; effective TT is 58 with a 1.5% slop).  Photos appear the same as those used by the seller in the recent (now deleted) CL listing, including the scratch on the underside of the top tube.  Seller is 6' 2", by the way, and decided it was just too small for him, though he made the frame work, and enjoyed the bike a lot--as I hope to as well.  At 5"11", with an 87 PBH, it should fit me well.

I stand corrected! Thanks for the info, Thom.

A Legolas is still a great bike!

I will definitely post pictures of the build, and am open to any recommendations toward taking advantage of this frame's tubing, and keeping the build light.

That frame would look great just about any way you configure it, but for my 2-cents I would keep it simple, light and fast as it was intended. Congrats, we're all envious. BB

That's my idea, too, Montclair BobbyB!  Thinking to follow the seller's path and ride this bike in southern Indiana's Hilly Hundred next year, as he has done; says it is a bike that just wants to go---
