Okay that's a load of horse manure Los Angeles is a behemoth! Despite that fact you still sometimes run into someone from the RBW bunch in person. In this case, whilst rambling through Silverlake and grabbing a bite to eat at the local farmer's market I ran into Vanessa on her pink Bridgestone. From a distance I saw the unmistakable Riv saddle sack and a basket with a large shop sack,  hard to miss in the urban wilds, especially in a sea of race bikes and run of the mill commuter bags. We chatted about Riv stuff, commuter rail woes and her recent bike tour in Zion National Park. Hopefully, she see's this post and can add her feedback regarding her experience on tour. It was a nice visit with a charming lovely lady. Here's proof this actually happened.

Goodness! I don't know which is more sweet and lovely - her or her pink bike!

I think they're both lovely!

Great photo!

Her bike looks like a recipient of a Bicycle Makeover like the ones they used to feature in the Rivendell Reader.

I never saw those as I didn't get the reader. I came on board much later. Too bad we don't see more of those make over these days.

Tiny. And cold.

It's definitely getting Rivier out there, at least here on the Westside. Baskets and upright, wide bars abound.

Encouraging.

Doug,

If you knew how long we tried to connect. Then to just happen to run into her.
