Hugh,
Great ride report and pics. Really enjoyed it! That was a hell-of- a climb in that heat! So cool when you meet nice people along the way!
How did the new saddle work??

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the kind words. It was a hellacious climb with loaded bikes & heat. At this point I'm accustomed to the high temps. Had it been 20 degrees cooler probably would have made our goal.

The Selle Anatomica X saddle is on my 1984 Trek 660 race bike. Though I've only ridden on it for a total of 70-80 miles it seems comfortable. I will say the nose is a bit wider than my B-17 special and a bit abrupt in it's finish. Because of this I get some chafing or rub. Yet on my last ride it seemed to disappear? More miles I think are required. My Atlantis equipped with said B-17 is all day comfort. Maybe those English lads know what their doing or it was a relaxed bovine?

Tail Winds,

~Hugh

That looks like a great ride though it seems like a completely different world from mine (no mountains here). Really lovely landscapes.

Mine was coffee without walls (thanks to a fellow coffeeneur!). Beautiful weather for riding, too.

Dear Eunice,

You have mountains their just geologically older. Despite the fact you don't have huge hills to climb you do have torrential rain to add to the mix of adventure. I thank you for your kind words. I think my other coffeeneuring ride will be less challenging.

Great images by the way and that Kelley Kettle humm.

Tail Winds,

~Hugh
