Good morning Sir

I take back my earlier comment, for i thought biflorus means two flowers as in - http://davesgarden.com/guides/botanary/go/841/#b.
But, according to a pdf available/downloadable at http://nopr.niscair.res.in/handle/123456789/12044 L. biflora var. procumbens have whorl of 1 to 6 flowers.

This confirms Nayan Sir's ID.

Thank you & Regards,

surajit

It is not Leucas lanata for sureI I don't know why did I suggest that back in 2012!

The 2nd picture hints either (1) oblique calyx mouth or (2) bract longer than calyx ........so I am not sure of L. biflora as well.

Thank you

surajit

I agree, Prashant ji, that this looks to be L. biflora.

The point that led me to my hesitation is the length of those calyx teeth (compared to the length of the calyx tube), as can be seen in your plate no. "kulang09 139.jpg".
I think the teeth in my specimen (at - https://groups.google.com/g/indiantreepix/c/RX4LT0YCOkY/m/vKha7wFYRfIJ), which I believe is a type specimen, has shorter calyx teeth.
But, again then I am too not sure, no of flowers suggests L. biflora, calyx teeth suggests probability of L. angularis ........ now, please you decide yourself.

Thank you,
Regards
surajit
