Hi DSpace Tech,

We're attempting to build an integration between our instance of DSpace v6.3 and our digital preservation set-up. We're currently looking into special cases, particularly embargoed material. However, we're having trouble locating where the embargo information of material is captured in DSpace exports, as it doesn't appear in the metadata/sidecar files of the embargoed materials that we've exported to test.

Should we be looking in a different place, or has it just not been exposed to the API?

We have looked at some LYRASIS documentation for reference, specifically
https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC6x/Embargo and
https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC6x/REST+API#RESTAPI-ResourcePolicyObject
but it's still not totally clear to us specifically where the embargo information is contained.

Thanks in advance for any advice anyone has!
Erin

Do you use XMLUI ?
You can find the Information inside the dim:fields with your embargo metadata field you configured in dspace.cfg (embargo.field.terms).
It may be needed some switch in the DSpace config to show all available metadata.

You will find the XML-Metadata with an URL like

https://<yourrepo>/metadata/handle/<handle>/mets.xml

Hi Michael,

Thanks so much for this advice!

Your recommendation to configure to show all metadata fields should definitely help.

Thanks again and take care,
Erin
