unable to import nexus file to Beauti v 2.1.1.0

[PunctuatedEquilibrium]

I converted a newick file (attached) into nexus format using the following website:

http://www.phylogeny.fr/version2_cgi/data_converter.cgi

I can't get the resulting nexus file (attached) to upload into Beauti v2.1.1.0 pc version. The error message I encounter is "Something went wrong. Content is not allowed in prolog"

What am I missing?

There are internal node labels in your Nexus tree called inodeXXX, where XXX is a number. Did you mean them to be there? They are not in the original newick.

When importing a nexus file, BEAUti expects to import an alignment. Since the file does not contain an alignment an (admittedly obscure) error message is the result.

i am now using BEAST, in the first step working on BEAUTI I had a problem when import NEXUS file. i alway receive an notice ¨something went wrong importing the alignment¨. If anybody have the same my problem please tell me know!

It looks like there are a lot of spaces missing from the file. Attached, you find a file where I inserted some spaces, and this one does load in BEAUti v2.1.3 -- I recommend you upgrade from v2.1.1 to v2.1.3.

Thanks a lot. I known, I made a mistake that after i export the file Nexus from GENEIOUS I deleted spaces. Now I ran well!
