I used to use folders without children for short notes, but now I use tasks set as hidden branches. Because I like a folder to be a folder.

Either way, there is an issue when it comes to archiving a completed sub-outline. Perhaps a project that has been completed, and the project checkbox unticked. In the normal run of things I would like these to automatically be archived off to my archive file, but I believe folders or hidden tasks would be left behind.

Is there a best way of doing this?

Thanks, Laurence

hi Laurence,

I am not sure the best way to handle this coz i didn't really look into/using this myself.

I thought of using MLO as part of my notebooks as well since i believe having everything in 1 place is easier for me. But so far, i am using Folder to put in simple notes or reference & marked it with a 'note' Flag. then, i created a view to show all my 'notes' (i think i have only 2 to 3 notes only now).

As for archiving, maybe you need to 'close' the project manually by going through all the completed tasks and extract valuable information and store some where else? like another 'note' branch in MLO or in other software/app like Evernote/Onenote?
