An American acquaintance in Fukuoka is looking for a medical interpreter
for a discussion with the surgeon who is going to operate on said
acquaintance's mother. The meeting with the surgeon will probably take
place early next week (possibly as early as 4/13). If anyone is

Although we haven't been in touch for many years, Ben Tomkins is a skilled J>E medical translator and lives in Fukuoka. The email address I have is b...@j-translate.com , and there are several hits on Google for his website:  j-translate.com.

I'm not sure if Ben does interpretation, but he is entirely fluent in Japanese.
