It would be worth thinking about organising a reboot of the belfast JS group, our priority is going to be with Ruby first of all and then hopefully we can get some reuse! Is anyone up for helping on either or both of those?

What do you all think of the general target for talks, I think more of a mixture between hardcore JS and a beginner friendly approach might work better as there seems to be a lack of developers who specialise specifically in JS locally here in Belfast, but every web dev needs JS and can benefit from a great community of developers and designers we have here.
I'd still be up for the 20th of Feb if we want to pick a date and stick to it.

I'll put my self forward for a talk on sails in March. Don't want to do one on the first pass though.

I’d be happy to talk though some of the javascript patterns we use in the GitHub.com codebase, if people would be interested?

how about this, we combine belfast ruby and js events and dedicate an hr (or a room) per topic and see what happens
how about this, we combine belfast ruby and js events and dedicate an hr (or a room) per topic and see what happensIf cross-pollination is the goal, then would it not make sense to hold them both in the same room, with the same audience so that the attention isn’t split?
They’d have to go one after each other instead of simultaneously, but would that be better? I don’t know, I’m just thinking out aloud here.

I'd love to actually hear you talk about that kind of stuff at some point Coby, yes I know it's the softer stuff and some people dislike it
