Hi Eric,
Our board is a development board. It has many DIP switches, so beside fixing car, you can control the I/O ports for your own projects.
The Mini version is also a development board. It has most I/O ports routed out, that why it is larger than other product (only OBD-II circuits).
Writing a software for somebody's hardware is very challenging. However, since our GUI software is open-source, we will continue
to improve our software with the help from other programmers around the world.
The advantage of this board is beside the OBD-II circuits, you can use it for your PIC32 microcontroller projects.
Keep in mind that: we will port our window GUI software to smart phone and tablet operation systems.
So, the real time raw data from the vehicle will transfer through our board to your laptop, smart phone or tablet ether by wired USB or
bluetooth. With the raw data, you can manipulate and display any way you want.
One more thing, with the existing products on the market you are limited to what they programmed.
With our board, you can explore other proprietary functions of the vehicles.
