OOC: Flashback is linked from my last Skyfire post: Incoming Shuttles En Route.

((Outside the Jade Dragon’s Casino, New Macau, Antor II))

:: The stabilization of this patient was similar because the shrapnel by fallen debris looked to be very similar to the stab patterns of the injured captain he'd saved only a few months before. At least, this time, the hypercoagulin was doing its job and was working as opposed to Captain Reynolds. As the last of the memories faded, he blinked a few times to clear his head. He had to focus on his task, and he also had to remember to breathe. He didn't want to breathe in this mess, but he didn't have a choice. At least his immune system had recovered somewhat after the damned Hocktin incident. ::

(( Flashback ))

Injured victim: The shrapnel...it hurts...

Skyfire: Ah ken, lad. Ah'm going to have you beamed to my ship, because ah can nae do anything about it without proper tools. A'right?

Injured victim: Mkay...

:: CD got him stabilized to the point where he could be tagged for transport. Once that was done, he heard the roar of a shuttle's thrusters fly overhead. A low-orbit fly-over. A glance at the registry number of the passing shuttle confirmed it's origin: the Veritas. He tapped his badge to update his boss, and for the life of him couldn't remember if they had a SAR unit. Since he was new here, he suspected she'd have more knowledge about that. ::

Skyfire: =/\= Skyfire to Ryan. Incoming shuttles from the Veritas. Possibly a SAR team. =/\=

Ryan: =/\= Ryan here. =/\=

:: He glanced upward to get an idea of where it was heading in relation to himself and the rest of the team. A few meters away by this point, but it didn't take him long to reply before moving to his next patient. ::

Skyfire: =/\= Spotted one headin' your way. =/\=

Ryan: =/\= I see ‘em. Thanks. =/\=

:: As the line closed, Chythar inhaled shallowly once again. The atmosphere was thick with smoke and dust, and he just breathed in a bit more of the swill which surrounded the chaos as he took another glance at the scenery. Blood, casualties, rubble, trauma support teams, and the shuttles overhead doing whatever they were doing. Kit retrieved, he moved onto another victim near him. ::

Moonsong: =/\= Moonsong to…. Anybody! I have people trapped! I need help! =/\=

Ryan: =/\= On my way! =/\=

:: Chythar knew that he couldn't split himself in multiple places at the same time, and given the circumstances he wished he could. However, Ryan was on top of it so he continued doing what he could. It didn't take long for his badge to chirp again as he began treating a patient who got too close to a plasma fire. ::

Alexander: =/\=Alexander to Skyfire.=/\=

:: Chythar sighed internally as he finished treating the surface burns before tapping his badge to acknowledge. ::

Skyfire: =/\= Go for Skyfire. =/\=

Alexander: =/\=I was wanting to clarify something on a patient's chart. I'm not extremely familiar with the species. I'm sending you the link to the chart now.=/\=

:: He produced his PADD from his pocket and glanced down at it. He made a note to commend Greywin on his attention to detail. The young officer had come a long way since DSX. ::

Skyfire: =/\= The shrapnel victim. What's the problem? =/\=

Alexander: =/\=I mostly wanted to clarify if this patient is in need of surgery. I don't see any notes that explicitly state it, but again I'm not super familiar with the physiology.=/\=

Skyfire: =/\= Aye, he will. He's got multiple shrapnel injuries. =/\=

Alexander: ::nods:: =/\=Understood.=/\= ::pauses:: =/\=It's awful down there, isn't it?=/\=

:: He finished up with his present patient, and quickly moved to the next. Each second in motion had him running around like a cross between a guided missile and headless chicken -- the guided missile due to the precision of the direction in which he moved from patient to patient, and the chicken because he wanted to be everywhere at once but couldn't split himself like that. ::

Skyfire: :: Almost absently. :: =/\= Aye, it is. Anything else? =/\=

:: He was sort of half-paying attention to her words. He thought she said something about a secondary triage location, but that wasn't his call to make. Instead, he gave a simple three-word response. ::

Skyfire: =/\= Acknowledged. Gotta go. =/\=

:: CD tapped his badge and closed the line, kneeling down next to another one of the casualties to examine him. The tricorder registered injuries and some bizarre readings which didn't make sense at first. Once the patient was stabilized enough to be transported, Chythar blinked and reviewed the anomalous readings from the man's torso. He also had to take a moment to ground and center himself again to ensure none of his discomfort got through his empathic connections to his friends. ::

oO Tricobolt and... something...else... Oo

:: He collected what he could without causing further discomfort to the patient and tapped his badge. The analysis revealed some strange substance that he wasn't familiar with and one that he was in a rather vague sense. Granted, he'd been in bomb situations before, but never directly had contact with any crazy people wearing bombs... This was a bit outside his purview to analyze, but there was one name he could think of who could make sense of what he couldn't. ::

Skyfire: =/\= Dr. Skyfire to Cmdr DeVeau. =/\=

DeVeau: =/\= Response =/\=

Skyfire: =/\= Just curious, what do you ken about tricobolt and other similar things that go boom? =/\=

DeVeau: =/\= Response =/\=

Skyfire: =/\= Ah took these readings off of someone ah'm treatin' down here. Ah recognize the tricobolt, but this other compound ah'm at a loss. Sending the data now. =/\=

:: That was more knowledge than he had before, to be sure. He nodded slightly and tapped his tricorder to send the data to the Veritas, hoping she'd make more sense of it than he was able to. ::

DeVeau: =/\= Response =/\=

((OOC: I'll continue as needed))

:: Once she rang off, he tagged the patient for transport and continued his stabilize-and-move strategy: once one was stable, move onto the next. There were some he couldn't save, and he knew this now. It didn't make it any easier, but he would do his best to save as many as he could. ::
