I am not succeeding in updating. IN the past I have not had a problem at all. When it says to press the OK button I am assumiming I am to press enter right there but nothing is happening when it is supposed to install. Does it have anything to do that I have the latest version of Windows or what is going on? I have never had this problem in the last updates.
Hi Betsy,
After you press enter, are there any error messages announced? If so, please describe.
If not…
Is this a personal or work computer? Do you have administrator access to it? Admin is required in order to make changes to your computer, including updating NVDA.

Betty,
If you haven’t already, try restarting your computer and updating go. Sometimes, a good old restart fixes weird things happening.

I did try that. I am writing privately to someone and when we figure it out I will send to the list in case someone else has the same problem.

Hi all,
Keep in mind that upgrading from NVDA 2025.3.3 and earlier to 2026.1 is a 32-bit to 64-bit migration, so you may need to restart your computer for the upgrade to be successful.
Cheers,
Joseph
When I did the upgrade yesterday, right at the end,
Nvda said;
“an error occurred”.
I restarted the pc, and when I checked version number it said 26.1
All seems to be working, though I have nothing with adons as I am a delinquent in this regard. Ha ha.
Cheers,
