Anyone running MySql 5.7?

Hello Sakai-Devs,

Sorry, I've asked this before, but we're planning to upgrade to MySql 5.7 (since it's support EOL is coming up soon) and I've read that the Sakai Nightly test servers were all upgraded to 5.7 over the summer, but has anyone upgraded their production servers since then?  In particular, has longsight upgraded any prod. servers?  If so, were there any major issues?

We have been using 5.7 since Summer 2019 without issues so far as I know.

Related to this, I'd be interested in knowing what versions of the MySQL Connector lib (JDBC driver) folks are using.  I know we had some problems with date handling in a couple newer versions.

Nightly was upgraded back in June to MySQL 5.7 (for all instances Sakai 12, 19, 20, 21 and 22). Anything earlier wasn't tested.

It looks like nightly is still using mysql-onnector-java-5.1.38-bin.jar

For my local build I'm using the -P mysql profile and it looks like that's 5.1.47. Nightly should probably also just use build this profile so it's using this same version. 

I don't know about the MySQL 8 connectors though it says they're compatible back to 5.6?

Thanks, Matt.  I believe that we ran into the time problem (some dates started showing up as GMT) with 5.1.48.  We dropped back to 5.1.46 to solve the problem.  Haven't tried 5.1.47.

Sorry, I have another quick question.  For those running 5.7, are you using "MySQL57InnoDBDialect"?  It was recommended in an old forum

works fine.

We run 5.7 in production using MySQL57InnoDBDialect and mysql-connector-java-5.1.49, not seen any problems related to this.
