He's right, and not only is Google in bed with the government, but in bed
with the Left-wing Establishment, though Fox News is part of that same
pseudocon left-wing establishment too. Trust no one.

I guess even Glenn Beck has to be right at least once in his life. I never
got a g-mail account because all the nerd mags were noting that Google gave
direct access to government officials of all g-mail accounts.

Since the IPO Google just can't be trusted with anything. The privacy
issues surrounding their Desktop Search and Gadgets are truly frightening.
They have all kinds of shady political connections, and won't give a
straight answer about what they keep and how long. I try and use Yahoo when
I can, though it isn't always as sharp.

Where'd that come from?

Fresh off the wikipedia:

Neoliberalism describes a market-driven[1] approach to economic and
social policy based on neoclassical theories of economics that stresses
the efficiency of private enterprise, liberalized trade and relatively
open markets, and therefore seeks to maximize the role of the private
sector in determining the political and economic priorities of the state.

Unfortunately, these two things are incompatable. Traditional liberal
concerns involve, "spreaqding the wealth" by stealing from the rich and
giving to the poor. This is the antithesis of capitolism, where the smart,
hard working, succeed, and the measure of their success is seen in their
bank accounts. Stealing their money taks away their incentive to learn more
and work harder. So it effectively kills off the best in the society and
turns a greater percentage of the people into ner-do-wells and bums that
just live off the system and do nothing. And, as a result, the society goes
downhilol as has ours during the last 50 years. We graduate less and less
engineers and more and more basket weavers, while other countries are
rushing past us at an ever increasing rate. We will not survive
this....Trust me.

Yes it's much better to have Goldman Sachs and ExxonMobil run and
control everything. Without government, how does the little guy stand up
to big business?

I listen to the Savage Weiner on KKOB 770 every weekday evening. He is a
liberal putting on a show. He is an old school macrobiotic hippie who
pals around with Jerry Brown. His angry unhinged right-wing "Savage"
personna is shtick. Pure shtick,

Wow. That's pretty convoluted. Progressive taxes have been around a lot
longer than modern capitalism. Jefferson said the rich should pay more
because the country needs it and they can afford it. Import tariffs were
extra stiff on luxury goods because the rich were the people who bought
them.

There was no capitalism in 1775. It came as a result of the Industrial
Revolution.

High taxes on business profits encourage entrepreneurs to put the money
back in the business, not in their "bank accounts" where it does no one
any good.

The, "Industrial revolution" was just an improvement in technology that is a
natural result of capitolism, and not the cause of it. It could be argued
that without capitolism, there would have never been an industrial
revolution. For sure, it started here in the US under a free enterprise
system. thousands of years of fudalism sure didn't produce it. It was the
result of greed, and the prospect of making more money which you could KEEP,
and not have to give to the government in taxes, so they could blow it into
space by sending a dozen ass-naughts to the moon, or whatever other
hare-brained schemes they came up with.

And, the dumbest statement I have heard on this forum in the last couple of
years, is, "> High taxes on business profits encourage entrepreneurs to put

the
> money back in the business, "

But it sure tells me that you think just like the present Democratic
administration does........Do you really think that entrepeneurs are
encouraged to invest more money in their businesses by having to pay higher
taxes? Give me a break!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From Wikipedia:

The Industrial Revolution was a period from the 18th to the 19th century
where major changes in agriculture, manufacturing, mining, transportation,
and technology had a profound effect on the socioeconomic and cultural
conditions of the times. It began in the United Kingdom, then subsequently
spread throughout Europe, North America, and eventually the world.

The statement is true. The tax code is set up with various incentives (tax
breaks) for companies that reinvest capital (not CAPITOL, that's a building)
back into their business (hiring, research and development, infrastructure,
etc.)

A) Industrial Revolution did NOT originate in the US . B) We have
to understand that the general word 'Capitalism' includes many
variations, eg. Merchant Capitalism, Industrial Capitalism, Banking
and etc. C) Business prospers most when the role of gov't is anemic
or totally nonexistent ! D) High taxes can destroy the most
vibrant economy D) Feudalism did not disappear totally in our
times . E) In these tough economic times severe budget cutbacks have
crippled one of the most advanced scientific organizations that ever
existed on the face of the Earth (NASA) . Space exploration is pretty
much reduced right now . E) Despite what we hear from various
sources, it was the PRESENT administration that bailed out
GM,Chrysler, several banksters and insurance crooksters . One hand

Whats a, "long term tax shelter"? What are you talking about? Do you really
think the government can invest your money better than you can? You know
what they have been doing with your social security money, don't you? - They
have been spending it! That's what they do with every cent they get their
grubby little hands on. the lower the taxes on profits, the more money I can
reinvest in my business and the faster it will grow, and the more employees
I will hire to keep up with the increased business. That's a fact. And it
