Huh?
I was actually looking forward to what you were going to say... Then
you didn't.

go ahead.
i challenge you to write it up yourself.
you'd end up writing the same thing anyway.
it's not like those three aren't peas in the pod.
sure, their stories differ slightly, but not significantly. *
i doubt anyone would disagree.
except maybe Johnnie Cochran and Karl Rove.
...
* although, at least OJ was worth a damn at one point in his past.
to the extent that sports figures are, anyway.

That's a really hard comparison. Not that I think Cheney and Bush
aren't responsible for thousands of deaths, because I believe they are
responsible. But using your own hands and a knife against people,
face-to-face is a different kind of murder. I think the difference is
significant.
surely you jest.
> Not that I think Cheney and Bush

brutal deaths.
and add to that zillions of massive woundings.
4000+ American soldiers killed and countless thousands of innocent
others.
all for self-serving lies.
> because I believe they are responsible.
pre-meditatively responsible.
> But using your own hands and a knife against people,

how so?
...
well, let's see now.
for or one, using your own knives and hands to slaughter people is a
bit less cowardly than forcing others to go off to do your brutal
deeds.
way less risky.
no fences to hop.
and no need to bloody up your shoes, shirt, and pants.
> I think the difference is significant.
indeed.
...
anyway, let's hope that society reacts the same way to Dick and W as
it did to OJ.
shunned. disgusted. disrespectful. black-balling.
being ill-at-ease with their scott-free get-a-way.
denying them opportunities to make a living.
constant pressure at every turn.
constantly monitoring their every movement for the slightest
prosecutable offenses.
etc.
let's observe as karma continues it's glorious balancing wonders for
the non-repentant scumbags as it did for the amateur slasher OJ.
it's the least the American people can do to honor all of the fallen
American soldiers and the other thousands of destroyed people (and
their families) across the globe.
so... that means...
no speaking fees.
no honored dinners.
no book deals.
no talk-show circuit.
no cushy incomes.
show these sub-human trash producers nothing but disgust and distance.
treat them like the social lepers they are.
make them learn some lessons the old fashioned way, by massive and
severe disapproval.
make them at least feel unwelcome in civil society.
of course, like OJ, there will be a small handful of hangers on.
but let that be the extent of it.
and before you go there...
did OJ get forgiven?
and he only slashed two innocent people to death.
two.
so anyway, if you feel like cutting Dick and W any slack at all,
you're morally obligated to cut way more slack for OJ.
unless, of course, you're some sort of major hypocrite.
and wow, how many of those fuckers walk the earth, huh?

You know, I actually mostly agree with you on this.
But, I do think the distance Bush and Cheney had from it allows for the
possibility that they really didn't... how do I say this... that they
didn't think about what they were doing. That is to say, they were so
removed that they didn't feel their decisions would lead to people's
deaths. Not that I think what they did was okay, but, it's that
difference -- possibility of not recognizing their part in it -- that
makes OJ's a more clear cut case of murder. He *meant* to kill them. In
addition, OJ had the history of abusing Nicole. That direct violence,
again, because it is face-to-face is more clearly a crime punishable by
law (one hopes).
