you see, for one thing, depending on its construction, the title can
put you into a certain frame of mind.

so even if you're a big Star Trek fan, like myself, the title above
prepares you to consider what you're about to digest with a completely
new mindset.

and you enjoy the content on a whole new level.

it becomes utterly hilarious.

in that case, the title far over sells the content (especially when
judged against the facts of the premise) so the punchline falls
completely flat, making the content absurd and surreal instead of
"funny".

unless you're a zombie republican, of course.

then you're laughing your brain-dead zombie mind off.

what's left of it, anyway.

assuming there was one there in the first place.

and it wasn't being rented out by Rush or some such.

so anyway, that's why titles matter.
