president.

Yeahbut he's Canadian. He'd have to do some kind of claymation morph into an
American and who knows what the result would be.
i think he did that when he moved to California in the seventies.
the result was Crazy Horse.

"I hope Neil Young will remember
Southern man don't need him around anyhow."
and the funniest part about that whole thing is that Neil is sometimes
spotted wearing a Lynard Skynard t-shirt -- and when asked about it he
notes how they became friends.
or so the rusty legend goes.
anyway, dude, work on your usenet post attributions quoting thinger.
i've noticed over the years that your response is not distinguishable
from the post your quoting other than appearing at the very bottom of
the text -- although on occassion, you quote the previous post
properly (like your first response in this thread has attributions
done correctly but the rest of your responses were screwed up).
what's with that?
yikes.
does your newsreader post attributions quoting thinger have an on/off

Anyone running for POTUS must be thirty-five years old and a native born
American (born on American soil) or born of an American parent.
Some sweet kid, adopted from a foreign country at age two weeks by
American parents doesn't cut the mustard and can never be POTUS.
The brightest young girl I know, who has been here since she was
pre-school, who has naturalized American parents (and is, therefore,
American herself) and has an American-born brother can never be President.
Neither can Neil Young.
Paris Hilton can't run for POTUS until she's thirty-five.
What =do= they teach in high school Civics class?

Why should the requisites for an American Soldier and an American
president be different?
so what's new?

no, you're confusing him with Neil Diamond.

he may have been born in the back of a Lincoln Continental while his
pregnant mother was visiting some friends and family over the border.

what a shame.
> What =do= they teach in high school Civics class?
i don't know what they teach in Civics class because in my school they
called it Social Studies. but they what they did tell us was that to
become president you had to be born in the US and be at least thirty-
five years old.
anyway, Grand Mal had said that Neil _shouldn't_ be president and i
responded that i'd vote for him. i didn't make any claims that he
_could_ be president, just that if he was running, he'd have my vote.
see the distinction?

American soldiers are there to send out to kill and be killed. What
makes you think they're actually held in any regard? Not by the people
who send them, they're not.
That's how you can have a situation where a Commander in Chief sends
thousands of them to their deaths, for no good reason whatsoever. And
when asked what mistakes he's made, he can't think of one.
That's the way the Constitution was writ.
Back in the day, girls couldn't vote. People who weren't property owners
couldn't vote. Yadda yadda.
Takes an amendment to change the Constitution, which is a pain in the
butt in and of itself. When enough people decide that eighteen-year-olds
should be able to run for President, I'm sure the amendment will sail
through the process.
So what do you think of the United States' Electoral College?
Well the better thing to do would be to make the minimun recrutment
age 35.

> So what do you think of the United States' Electoral College?
Do they have beer and toga parties?
How is it possible that the Green Party has a youngster VP cand... oh.
Nevermind. Googled it and she's 36.

Neil Diamond _is_ a bit goofy, but he does write great songs.
the undisputed king of AM radio.
