I would be very surprised if there isn't some language in the contract that exempts your _existing_ other clients from the restrictions of the non-compete clause.
There is no such clause. I just double-checked, as I have archived the contract.
I told them the contract in its current state was unacceptable. They said that in reality, it would never get that far because they were very easygoing. I then replied that if they were so easygoing, they should change the contract. They said that was impossible.

1. It is quite common for professionals to take responsibility for their
work. This goes without saying for doctors, lawyers, nurses,
car mechanics, etc. Not taking responsibility for your work will put
you on the same level as a secretary who is just typing in another

Hi everyone on this shiwake thread!
First my apology. I was not paying enough attention to the Japanese
side. It is written 仕分け(sorting), but not 仕訳(journaling).
In fact, my word list contains the following citation:
行政刷新会議は、事業仕分け作業を開始した。
The Government Revitalization Unit began its budget screening.

For some reason that I don't understand, every note I've received from the
Honyaku list today has a txt file attachment with it. Of course I haven't
opened them, though the Norton software doesn't generate any warnings about
them.

None of the other e-mail messages from any other source I've received today

I am struggling with "発言・退出仮説" in the following sentence. I know
there must be a nicely fitting term for this in English but do not
know what it is. Any suggestions?

description might help too.
Yes, I was thinking that "budget screening" is not bad but it seems a little
stark, sparse and short on description for someone not familiar with the
