The idle display doesn't clear for me and works as you are requesting (or as I understand your post).  You are welcome to examine my ini file to see if there is something you may want to try on your machine.  I've been using the same configuration for many years.  The only thing I have changed is binding Slickrun open to CTRL+Q and Jot to ALT+Q.  So far I have not had any conflicts with other programs and I've been using this in Win8 for many months now.  It was a switch going from thumb+middle finger to pinky+middle finger but later found it was quicker than win+q since I no longer have to move my hand out of position.

As for requests, I'd like to see the history include calculations.  Perhaps even the option for the results to put into clipboard.

    Dear Eric,

Since you mentioned "suggestion", I will post one here.

There are two different behaviors when SlickRun gets focus:
    1. User clicks on Slickrun window, in this case, "idle display info" is not
cleared until user starts typing commands
    2. User uses hotkey to switch to Slickrun, in this case, "idle display
info" is cleared right away before user types anything.

I really hope that you can update Slickrun so for case no. 2, it acts the
same as case no. 1, i.e., when user uses hotkey to switch to Slickrun,
Slickrun window gets focus and waits for user's input, but it DOES NOT
clear the idle display info until user types his first character of command.

I want this because sometimes I use hotkey to switch to Slickrun just for
checking date/time (which is in "idle display info"), unfortunately for
current release version (4.1.3.0) this is not possible.

    Thanks.
