Jewish history is replete with persecution in the name of Christ. It has been
said that the sad saga of Jewish-Christian relations could be written in blood
and punctuated with violence. It is not the purpose of this paper to catalog
this history.. show Jews suffering at the hand of Christians are the
cornerstone upon which Jewish historical identity is based...
Most Jews have concluded that Jewish survival is based upon their own historic
resistance to the Christian flood. Christian mission is seen as synonymous with
persecution and anti-Semitism. From most Jewish people's understanding, there
are two types of people . . . the Jews and the Christians.
"Christian" has become synonymous with non-Jews who have persecuted
Jewish people throughout the ages. Therefore, Willie Mays, Billy Graham,
Adolph Hitler, and the Pope all fall into the same category. They are
Christians.

Now here is the very start of Christianity and what they suffered at the hands
of (Pharasaic) Jews and their Judaism:
Imagine being dragged from your house, hunted down town from town,
flogged in a "house of worship", imprisoned and executed and all on
account of your religion. Am I referring to events 70 years ago? NO!
I am referring to what First Century Christians endured!
The Apostle Paul says much in two Bible scriptures:
1 Thessalonians 2:14,15 (English-NIV):
14 For you, brothers, became imitators of God's churches in Judea,
which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own countrymen the
same things those churches suffered from the Jews,
15 who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out.
They displease God and are hostile to all men.
Notice the fine points made by the Apostle Paul in this little bit of
scripture!
He brought out in two verses:
1) "those churches suffered from the Jews" Those sweet harmless
little Jews were committing "hate crimes" against Christians!
2) "the Jews, who killed the Lord Jesus" The Apostle Paul was not the least bit
bashful about telling people "who killed the Lord Jesus"
3) "They displease God.." The Temple is still in ruins as a testament
to that fact! Undeniable wouldn't you say? And last BUT certainly not
least by any stretch of the imagination:
4) "They (Jews) are hostile to all men."
Regarding "2) "the Jews, who killed the Lord Jesus" The Apostle Paul was
not the least bit bashful about telling people "who killed the Lord Jesus"
I might as well throw this in seeing how I mentioned "Hate Crimes."
Historically, who do most people think were more brutal- Nazis or
Pharisees?
Persecution and torture:
Matthew 23:34 (English-RSV)
[Jesus warned] Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and
scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will
scourge in your synagogues and persecute from town to town....
[To scourge means to lash or whip severely. Imagine Jews chasing
people from town to town and flogging them in their synagogues! It
happened and it is documented in the Bible for all to see! Tavish]
The fulfillment:
Acts 5:27-30,40,41 (English-RSV)
27 And when they had brought them [Apostles], they set them before the
council. And the high priest questioned them,
28 saying, "We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet
here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and you intend to
bring this man's blood upon us."
29 But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than
men.
30 The God of our fathers raised Jesus whom you killed by hanging him
on a tree.
40 ... they had called in the apostles, they beat them and charged
them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
41 Then they left the presence of the council, rejoicing that they
were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name.
Acts 8:1-3 (English-RSV)
1 And Saul was consenting to his death. And on that day a great
persecution arose against the church in Jerusalem; and they were all
scattered throughout the region of Judea and Sama'ria, except the
apostles.
2 Devout men buried Stephen, and made great lamentation over him.
3 But Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he
dragged off men and women and committed them to prison.
Acts 9:1,2 (English-RSV)
1 But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples
of the Lord, went to the high priest
2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if
he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them
bound to Jerusalem.
Saul later became the Apostle Paul after being "converted" on the road
to Damascus and here is his confession of what he did to Christians:
Acts 22:1,2,4,5-8,19,20 (English-RSV)
1[Apostle Paul speaks]"Brethren and fathers, hear the defense which I
now make before you."
2 And when they heard that he addressed them in the Hebrew language,
they were the more quiet. And he said:
4 I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering to prison
both men and women,
5 as the high priest and the whole council of elders bear me witness.
From them I received letters to the brethren, and I journeyed to
Damascus to take those also who were there and bring them in bonds to
Jerusalem to be punished.
6 "As I made my journey and drew near to Damascus, about noon a great
light from heaven suddenly shone about me.
7 And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, 'Saul,
Saul, why do you persecute me?'
8 And I answered, 'Who are you, Lord?' And he said to me, 'I am Jesus
of Nazareth whom you are persecuting.' ......
19 And I said, 'Lord, they themselves know that in every synagogue I
imprisoned and beat those who believed in thee. [YLT version: and I
said, Lord, they -- they know that I was imprisoning and was scourging
in every synagogue those believing on thee]
20 And when the blood of Stephen thy witness was shed, I also was
standing by and approving, and keeping the garments of those who
killed him.' ....

Acts 26:9-11 (English-RSV)
9 "I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing
the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
10 And I did so in Jerusalem; I not only shut up many of the saints in
prison, by authority from the chief priests, but when they were put to
death I cast my vote against them.
11 And I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to make
them blaspheme; and in raging fury against them, I persecuted them
even to foreign cities.
{The Apostle Paul was really some sort of a vicious "Nazi" wasn't he
when he existed as a Pharisee named Saul? He did all of this
persecution in the name of Judaism! Proof below.}
Galatians 1:1,13,14 (English-RSV)
1 Paul an apostle--not from men nor through man, but through Jesus
Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead--
13 For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted
the church of God violently and tried to destroy it;
14 and I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my
people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers.
Acts 26:1,4,5 (English-RSV)
1 Agrippa said to Paul, "You have permission to speak for yourself."
Then Paul stretched out his hand and made his defense:
4 "My manner of life from my youth, spent from the beginning among my
own nation and at Jerusalem, is known by all the Jews.
5 They have known for a long time, if they are willing to testify,
that according to the strictest party of our religion I have lived as
a Pharisee.
Here is what the Universal Encyclopedia (1905 ed) says of the
relations of the First Century Christians and Pharisees: "In the
passages referring to the Christian period, "minim" usually indicates
Judeo-Christians.... During the first century of Christianity the
Rabbis lived on friendly terms with the minim.... These friendly
feelings, however, gradually gave way to violent hatred, as the minim
separated themselves from all connection with Jews and propagated
writings which the Rabbis considered more dangerous to the unity of
Judaism than those of the pagans. 'The writings of the minim,' says
Rabbi Tarfon, 'deserve to be burned, even though the holy name of God
occurs therein'... It was forbidden to partake meat, bread, and wine
with the min. Scrolls of the Law, tefillin, and mezuzot written by a
min were burned (Git. 45b ; Yer, Shab. 14b ; Ab, Zarah 40b...) ... The
relatives of a min were not permitted to observe the laws of mourning
after his death, but they were required to assume festive garments and
rejoice (Sem. ii. 10; Yoreh De'ah, 345).... an Israelite who found
anything belonging to a min was forbidden to return it to him (see

Let the "deniers and revisionists" lie all they wish but they can't
keep denying that theyir forefathers invaded homes, dragged people out
and commited them to prison, floggings and even death! Yes, the true
"deniers and revisionists" are the Jews!

and contradicted what was spoken by Paul, and reviled him.

But the Jews incited the devout women of high standing and the leading
men of the city, and stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas,
and drove them out of their district.

2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their
minds against the brethren.
19 But Jews came there from Antioch and Ico'nium; and having persuaded
the people, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city,
supposing that he was dead.
Acts 17:5 (English-RSV)
But the Jews were jealous, and taking some wicked fellows of the
rabble, they gathered a crowd, set the city in an uproar, and attacked
the house of Jason, seeking to bring them out to the people.
Acts 21:27,30 (English-RSV)
27 When the seven days were almost completed, the Jews from Asia, who
had seen him in the temple, stirred up all the crowd, and laid hands
on him,
30 Then all the city was aroused, and the people ran together; they
seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple, and at once the gates
were shut.
Acts 23:12-15 (English-RSV)
12 When it was day, the Jews made a plot and bound themselves by an
oath neither to eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
13 There were more than forty who made this conspiracy.
14 And they went to the chief priests and elders, and said, "We have
strictly bound ourselves by an oath to taste no food till we have
killed Paul.
15 You therefore, along with the council, give notice now to the
tribune to bring him down to you, as though you were going to
determine his case more exactly. And we are ready to kill him before
he comes near."
[NOTE: Acts 23: 15 (English-NIV) council is rendered as Sanhedrin:
Now then, you and the Sanhedrin petition the commander to bring him
before you on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about
his case. We are ready to kill him before he gets here.]
We all know who these Jews were; they were adherents if the Pharisees
and the Sanhedrin was the Pharisees' "court."

The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia (1943 edition, page 474] says:
"The Jewish religion as it is today traces its descent, without a
break, through all the centuries, from the Pharisees. Their leading
ideas and methods found expression in a literature of enormous extent,
of which a very great deal is still in existence. The Talmud is the
largest and most important single member of that literature, and round
it are gathered a number of Midrashim, partly legal (Halachic) and
partly works of edification (Haggadic)."

MOSCOW (Reuter) - A Russian presidential commission said
Monday that 200,000 clergy were systematically murdered under
Soviet rule in a horrific cycle of crucifixions, scalpings and
``bestial tortures.''
Commission chairman Alexander Yakovlev, presenting the
report at a news conference, seemed unconcerned that it might
deter electors from voting communist or nationalist in
parliamentary elections on Dec. 17.
``If it has an influence, I will be very satisfied,'' he
said.
The report by the Commission for the Rehabilitation of the
Victims of Political Repression also found that another 500,000
religious figures suffered persecution in the decades after
Vladimir Lenin's Bolsheviks seized power.
``Documents relate how clergymen, monks, nuns were crucified
on royal gates and shot in the basements of the Cheka (secret
police), scalped, strangled, drowned and submitted to other
bestial tortures,'' he said.
Yakovlev said some of the material, from archives of the
former ruling politburo and security services, had not been
previously published and that uncovering it was traumatic.
``I was especially shocked by accounts of priests turned
into columns of ice in winter... But that's not all, there were
crucifixions ... It was total cruelty.''
He said hundreds of people were shot for not giving up
church property, and only a fraction of the proceeds were spent
on the poor as the authorities had promised.

If Jews are allowed to call a historic event a "Holocaust" based on Jews being
tortured, imprisoned, and executed by Nazis then why can't Christians claim Jews
had "Holocausts" against non-Jews/Christians seeing how the 1st Century
Pharisees and the 20th Century Jewish led Bolshevists tortured, imprisoned, and
executed Christians/non-Jews. Jews also deny these other "Holocausts" so going
by their standards they are "Holocaust Deniers" and should be prosecuted for
"Holocaust Denial" and "Minimalizing the Holocaust[s])" as well!

women, there would not be a kingdom of God. They did this and the others had
a right to justify their getting even. Human history from the beginning to
the end? We are better than they are. We have a right to answer terror with
terror. This kind of "justice" leaves no room for the grace of God for which
he paid himself. There would be no hope.
The gospel puts an end to this kind of (self)righteous thinking. Surely,
the compulsion to make a distinction between good and evil is very human. It
started with Adam (and Eve), remember? But God has never given his blessings
to our arbitrary interpretation of good and evil. In fact, the gospel turns
our "I am better than you" upside down into a "I am no better than you".
Wake up, Christians, Jews, Marxists, Europeans, Asians, Africans,
Americans and the rest of humanity. God is not going to ask us about the
tags or labels we used to carry in this world, no, he wants to know what we
did with his Son who died for all of humanity.
In this age of globalization, this should be more under-
standable than in previous generations. Make the politicians listen!
