I have been researching records on my grand-father and other ancestors
on the Island of Sao Jorge. I was wondering if anyone has people in
their tree with the first name aires or ayres. It appears to be quite
rare. Also last night while researching I ran across a marriage record
that listed something about 4th consanguinity. I don't read
Portuguese well and was hoping someone could give me some help.
Thanks.

Hi,

I have Aires on my data. 4th consanguinity means Aires and his wife had common gggrandparents.

I'm sending u attached some of his ancestors and also pictures of Caldeira, the place where he lived

Question. Are you talking about Aires married to Rosa, or to his father Aires married to Ana. I sent you info starting on Aires married to Rosa (i also have Rosa ancestors)
