Subject: Saturday Night Show at WDM in England (How it comes together for the amazing results) Posted by Nicola Helen Saturday night show at #WDM26!
To say we are blown away by all the comments and posts is an understatement. What starts off as a tiny idea turns into a massive production, and I can never quite believe we manage to pull it off.
The choreography team (Fred, Shane, Hadisubroto Roy, Jessica, Fiona and I) all get together around Easter and figure out the structure, pick the music and choreograph the group routines. We then send out the choreography to the team and they get to work. Roy cuts and edits all the music and adds in special effects to emphasise the dancing in the way only he can.
This year, the amazing Stevenson Jen, Layla and Lauren choreographed the combined girls routine, and all the soloists created their own wonderful performances for the show. Rachael worked with all the social instructors and Allstars Gems competitors to get their section ready and they did a fantastic job.
The team get together for the first time on the Wednesday, and by some miracle, we manage to get the show together for the Saturday night, thanks to everyone’s talent and hard work. We truly have the best and hardest working team in the world, #CountryVive. Thank you to every single one of you.

(We will be celebrating four birthdays in August this Monday – Rita, Neil, Shannon, and Cheryl Hurlbert. I hope Cheryl and Neil will be able to make an appearance because they are both going through medical procedures and we miss seeing them. There will be a small class on Monday 8/17 because a lot of the class will be going to Ireland to dance with Gary O’Reilly so I will be cancelling 8/24 and 8/31 until they get back.
