Subject: Guyton Mundy Workshop/Social November 22, 2025 From: Carol Craven Wow! We had a really fun day at the Guyton Mundy Workshop Saturday in Pinellas Park. He taught us three dances: Natural Selection (he said this was the second dance he wrote after Long Road to Richmond). Next was Fragile, a beautiful dance, and last was Beat Box Betty that is not as difficult as it looks (see the videos below). It was so much fun trying to do them and he did a great job teaching these dances to so many dancers who weren't around when he changed line dance forever for the rest of us. I am so glad he is back and still creating dances that only he can create and also doing them with some of our other favorite choreographers. Thank you, Guyton and Natalie, for joining us for such a fun day. We had a great crowd and so many people brought food to share that was delicious! Thanks to Deb Elardi for bringing a double batch of Sangria! Thank you all for making the effort to bring such wonderful treats for us. A special thanks to everyone in the Monday night class who came early to help set everything up and clean everything up and a special thanks to Lynda Licht for being our DJ at the last minute as well as Shelli Blake who welcomed everyone at the door when they paid. I thought there would be a lot of last-minute cancellations but that really didn't happen so we had a great crowd. I love Florida dancers because we all support each other when we have things like this so it's always more like a family reunion. Guyton taught -- no easy ones for us LOL. Subject: Dancin' Dean's New Class in Parkton, MD
From: dagou...@gmail.com
NOTE FROM ME (Carol Craven): I started dancing with my dear friend, Dean, when I first started dancing around the late 1980s when I lived in Vermont. He has recently moved to Maryland and if you want to learn to dance you will love his classes and if you are an int-adv dancer, he knows them all and he's a great teacher. You are very lucky to have him and Deb in your area teaching and doing some workshops/socials so please tell your friends and help fill his classes. Good luck, Dean and Deb.

How to Vote in the Weekly Survey List up to 8 of your favorites with choreographer and level if you know it and email to me at tka...@aol.com before 6:30 PM EDT on Sunday. Please add the choreographer and level of the dance if you know it. |
Reminder from Carol Please do not number the votes 1-8, send me extra things, or put the name on one line and the other information on another line, it saves me time because I have to erase all extra things and spacing and formatting before I can sort. Thanks, as always, for your votes. Classes, socials, and events are starting again and we NEED to know what dances most people will know or want to know so your vote is important. |
