| NOTE FROM ME: I know I said I would send a newsletter yesterday but I was tired when I got home from the Largo Line Dance Fest. I was really going to remind you AGAIN to vote TODAY!! Subject: Largo Line Dance Fest Yesterday (Florida) From: Carol Craven
I had a really good time yesterday at the Largo Line Dance Fest. It is always so well organized and welcoming. They started the day off with coffee and beverages and yummy muffins and the day just kept bringing more good surprises. They had two rooms for lessons – a beginner/improver room and an intermediate-adv room. I mainly stayed in the intermediate room and we learned: Cody Flowers taught: POWER OF A WOMAN by him and Rachael. The sheet isn’t out for this one yet but I’m sure we will be learning it at SNL in a week or so. Linday Licht taught LOVE OF DANCE by Fred Whitehouse/Tim Johnson and Jean-Pierre Madge https://www.copperknob.co.uk/stepsheets/9BGTYSJ/love-of-dance Cody Flowers taught another new one by him which was fast and fun and fast! LOL. https://www.copperknob.co.uk/stepsheets/8MYFF8X/perfecto I’m sorry that I didn’t get a list of what was taught in the ballroom. I hope someone else will share those.
Lynda Licht was also the DJ for open dance playing all levels and kept the floor full. Largo is so lucky to have such a lovely facility to hold events and the staff there is so kind and helpful.
Thank you to everyone who works so hard making this a success every year. We missed Anki yesterday because she was ill.
Did you know that you can attend a dance social there the First Friday of every Monday? The next ones are April 3rd, May 1st, June 5th, and August 7th. The time is from 6 to 8 pm and they play a lot of beginner/improver/int and take requests. All levels are welcome. Beer and Wine are available for purchase. Someone at our table won passes for their game night and we are getting a team together to try that out soon! Sounds like fun.
Here is how you can find out about the TONS of things Largo Community Center offers: Largo Community Center 400 Alt. How to Vote in the Weekly Survey List up to 8 of your favorites with choreographer and level if you know it and email to me at tka...@aol.com before 6:30 PM EDT on Sunday. Please add the choreographer and level of the dance if you know it. |
Reminder from Carol Please do not number the votes 1-8, send me extra things, or put the name on one line and the other information on another line, it saves me time because I have to erase all extra things and spacing and formatting before I can sort. Thanks, as always, for your votes. Classes, socials, and events are starting again and we NEED to know what dances most people will know or want to know so your vote is important. |
