.Subject: Note posted by Roy and Fiona Hadisubroto (I know lots of us know this family so I wanted to share this post from Facebook) 2025 was difficult, 2025 was beautiful. A year has passed and time flew.
And here we are in 2026.
It has been a long time since I actually have been posting things again.
We had to work mentally and physically on ourselves. And it was a difficult year.
At the start of the year…
What should have been an easy labor became quite difficult and complicated in the end. Especially to have it in the back of your head that you would go home with an addition to the family, never ones that it came into my mind that you could lose both of them in one go, and actually go home alone, became quite a reality check.
Being neglected, not being listened or heard to in the hospital, and Fiona bleeding for 12 hours was a terrible experience.
It was hard, I felt helpless. I couldn’t do anything. You try to be there for her mentally and physically but it felt you just stood on the side line, watching and entrusting your wife and baby to strangers.
There came a point that our baby’s heartbeat disappeared in her tummy and then also hearing that Fiona might not survive either.
I cried hard by those thoughts sitting alone in the room not knowing what the future will hold on that moment.
It was very difficult and the aftermath of it was and still is very visible for the both of us.
But on the 5th of February 2025 our little miracle, Rian was born. A beautiful baby boy in our arms. Looking at him and Fiona together at my side makes me happy. They both survived.
Happy that we could walk out the hospital as a family.
Our baby did had loads of complications and we had to go in and out of the hospital almost every day. We concentrated on our family and put dancing a bit on a low end, while dealing physically and mentally on our own selves.
Our family and dance community helps us to express and feel safe, in any shape or form. When we choreographed the dance Find Someone, it was a dance dedicated to us as a family, to have someone always by your side that will be there for you no matter what.
It was hard to teach, as we realized that we weren’t mentally not ready yet.
Our minds were not there yet but everyone understood our situation and it was like therapy to be able to talk about it, to say it out loud, to share our choreography and get it off our chest. Thank you all for listening to us, it really helped us get through all of this.
We apologize for those for not responding to any messages or emails, also because afterwards our messages started to pile up, we had to go and fish through every one of them and that created a lot of stress.
On that moment we had to focus a lot on our family and it became and still is our number one priority. Thank you for those who understood our situation and listened to what has happened.
And now our little baby is 1 year old.
Time flies and we love every moment with him. It is amazing to see his 1st time of everything. His first touch, all his cuddles. His first time making sound, his first word. His first time travelling overseas. Already, he has been travelling more than us before I was 1 years old.
My dream was always at one moment in our lives to dance with my own child on the dancefloor or in a show. You never know what the future holds, whether he wants to be interested in dancing or not. So having him dressed up like a Pikachu and being part of the show of the WDM Countryvive team in blackpool, was a dream come true.
I can officially say he started dancing in a show when he was minus 1 years old.
To see him grow, and see how much he has love for music and dance is incredible. He loves people, even though he can be shy sometimes, he loves to watch people dance.
Also, he is the biggest eater, what’s new? More less like his own Daddy. And he definitely will eat you under the table.
We love him so much, and are very proud parents of our little Rian.
If you have never met him, here’s a little 1-year compilation of him and his journey. (hopefully music works)
It was hard to compress 10.000 pictures into one compilation. All his pictures are our favorites.
Happy Birthday Rian
Love you with all our heart. Love you 3000
Hopefully the video is working.

How to Vote in the Weekly Survey List up to 8 of your favorites with choreographer and level if you know it and email to me at tka...@aol.com before 6:30 PM EDT on Sunday. Please add the choreographer and level of the dance if you know it. |
Reminder from Carol Please do not number the votes 1-8, send me extra things, or put the name on one line and the other information on another line, it saves me time because I have to erase all extra things and spacing and formatting before I can sort. Thanks, as always, for your votes. Classes, socials, and events are starting again and we NEED to know what dances most people will know or want to know so your vote is important. |
