LET'S DANCE Lindy lindysda...@gmail.com www.lindysdancelines.jimdo.com Subject:  Kickin' It For The Kids Mini Workshop From: sharo...@hotmail.com Hey All: I know we weren't one of the the big events, but our Kickin' It For the Kids mini Workshop in Scottsburg, Indiana was absolutely wonderful with a great turn out.  Our awesome team of local instructors  Cindy CeCe Helman, Brooke Jenkins, Betty Brown, Sharon Sharooni Lamb, and Ben Sheriden taught  For the Rest of Your Life - Trevor Thorton Ready for It (This Is It) - Evan Van Scoyk Even the Tide Got High - Jamie Marshall Mine, Lord Willing - Adia Nuno Fallin' In Love - Gary O'Reilly & Maggie Gallagher Proud 2B County - Michelle Risley Jamie Marshall kept us all moving with: Boom Boom (With Me) - Juan Gonzalez Top Triple Target - Sher McIntosh Like It Like That - Gary Lafferty Heart In Two - Michelle Risley, Gary Lafferty * Karl-Harry Winson Let's Do Da Dance - Rob Fowler Wings to Fly - Rhoda Lai & Hayley Wheatley We danced some of our favorites, we did a video of Even the Tide Got High which is up on Copperknob and we watched Jamie Marshal with World Dance Showdown Ambassadors, Theresa Ringo and Billy Crase film a Reel for the Showdown.  We met new people, we had brand new dancers try out a workshop and we raised money for our charity The WHAS Crusade for Children.   Many of the dancers stayed for the regular monthly evening dance at Light's Dance Barn. We are already planning for next year and hope you will consider this small workshop.  We tried to keep in Beginner/Improver level and keep it fun.  I can't say enough about this dance venue.  If you have never been there, and are passing through the area (think Louisville, KY) you really need to check it out.  It's a gorgeous, floating wood floor that will allow you to keep dancing all night long and keep your ankles, knees and back from aching. Sharon "Sharooni" Lamb SUBJECT:  NOTE FROM ME:  I really appreciate your sending your report.  I wish everyone would send me notes about their socials, events, workshops, classes and everything else.  I don't think people realize that they are missing a chance to advertise and promote their activities for FREE!  I just want to get as many dancers on the floor as possible and simply be the messenger.  I know a lot of you are on social media but most of you write me when you want to stop scrolling and get the answer, so just use the newsletter as well as the Facebook Page for all the things you are doing and you can add things to the web site so that Stacy will post it for you on the WHERE TO DANCE page and the EVENT CALENDAR, CHOREOGRAPHERS page, etc.  I also know that people who post about their classes REGULARLY talking about what dances you are teaching and enjoying and letting people know you are out there, that your classes will grow.  Just use this format and COPY AND PASTE any flyers or photos and send it to me at tka...@aol.com and I will post it for you. Thanks, as always, for your votes. Classes, socials, and events are starting again and we NEED to know what dances most people will know or want to know so your vote is important.
