NOTE FROM ME: It was great to see so many of you at The Marathon this weekend. I shared a couple of days of things I experienced and then I drowned my phone that couldn't be saved so I will depend on some of you to send me a couple of reports and I'll try to add a little more when I get a new phone tomorrow. Thanks from saying hi in person and thanks for telling your friends about the email newsletter and Facebook Page (THE WORLD LINE DANCE NEWSLETTER, CAROL C. CRAVEN) so we can all stay connected. There is always a note at the top of the newsletters to show you how to invite your friends. I also want to thank the people who send me notes about your classes and workshops and what you are doing so others can find your classes and join your events. I say this over and over but there are many people who are on social media like Facebook but when they want to just find out what is happening now or happening soon, they use the newsletter and the web site to find out where to dance and look at the event calendar that Stacy works hard to keep current when you help her by updating your upcoming events, class information, or letting her know when someone no longer has a class. There is a very short form at the top of those pages that you fill out and it will go directly to her. https://worldlinedancenewsletter.com/ There is also a lot of information on there that you probably don't know about. Here is the site map so when you are looking for any type of dance or anything you may sell or want to order, you can find it there also. Click on this link and you will see the overview of everything on there. Welcome to all the people who asked to be added this weekend. I hope you enjoy it. Subject: What were your favorites from The Marathon? From: Stacy J Garcia
Subject: Latest updates info for CopperKnob as requested. We’ve been making quite a few improvements to the lists system recently, mainly based on feedback from users who wanted easier ways to organize dances and playlists.
A big change is the new keyword-based search system. Previously searches relied more on exact or partial matches, but now searches are much more flexible and work across all areas of the site, including within your own lists. This should make it much easier for users with a large number of lists to quickly find what they are looking for.
We’ve also reorganized the different types of lists to make things clearer:
• Own Lists – lists you create yourself, which can be private or public • Group Lists – lists created by someone else who has given you permission to update them • Followed Lists – lists created by someone else that you want to keep track of, similar to favourites or bookmarks
There are also now limits in place of 10,000 step sheets per list and up to 1,000 lists per account. In reality, most users will never come close to those limits, but they help us keep everything running smoothly.
Another important update is that the mobile app can now access lists in a similar way to the website, which wasn’t previously possible. We’re continuing to add more of the website features to the app, including Followed Lists and Group Lists, in future updates.
We are also currently working on better ways to organize the order of dances within lists. In future, users will be able to arrange dances in any order they want for an event or class, instead of only alphabetically, although the existing ordering options will still remain available. The new system will allow users to simply drag and drop dances into the desired order, save the list, and then easily share it with others.
I hope this helps explain some of the recent changes.
